Nope, rimfire is exempt from the magazine lock but still limited to 10rd magazines. |

I would have gone with one of those if I wasn't also using this lower on my 5.56 upper too. |

Here is the official picture of my new 100 yd offhand plinker:
http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b615/z80rr0/plinker1_zpsb3f5aa26.jpg It is my "semi-space gun" design. The upper was built by Compass Lake Engineering to my request. 20" Douglas match barrel, CLE modified M261 bolt, .040 hooded rear aperture in a detachable carry handle for the AR look and a Lyman 20 MJT globe sight atop the CLE space gun sight mount. The CLE free floating tube is shown fitted with their Space Gun Hand Rest. The lower is from Barnes Precision Machine just down the road from me in Apex, NC. The lower is fitted with a Timney 3# single stage trigger pack and the buttstock storage chamber filled with #9 shot for a total weight of 12 pounds. The balance is just about perfect. I need to shim the front sight a little to get the point of impact where I want it. I will then give it a good workout. Ken |

I found inspiration in this thread about 8 months ago and finally received my first Form 1 a few days ago.

This gun is a blast to shoot and is easily my favorite plinker. |

My .22 carbine with Aimpoint red-dot, 45º offset iron-sights (set up for LH shooter), green laser and Streamlight HP. CMMG Alpha conversion with Taccom Reliability Kit. DPMS lower with Jard 1.5# trigger and SlideFire bumpstock.
http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh243/shgrier/Arms/DPMS_AR-22.jpg Even at the outrageous prices for .22's these days, this is a fun, economical sub to shoot. Gets everyone a giggling. When the suppressor comes in later this year (If Biden doesn't bugger things up too badly), it'll be a real hoot! Cheers! |

Bolt holds open as advertised. Works well. And it's an enhanced sd trigger. Have one on both ar's. Wanted to keep it consistent between the two. |
