Anyone have one from the non fancy boxes that show that it was made in the US? Are the 4Ts that replaced the 4M made in the US or China?

The 4Ms that come in the plain white boxes have no 'Designed by' or 'Assembled in' markings on the bottom of the sight.

I've heard that the 4Ts, that are also now in use, are made in the US though, is that correct?

I believe I saw a photo in a thread on TOS showing the 4Ts with the Made in USA markings, I don't have one to confirm myself. I can also confirm that the 4M I had, that came in the plain box, had a black finish rather than the standard graphite color.

A question for those that recently put together their uppers with a shark arms colt fbi barrel

Did you shave the FSB or go with the G block?

Barrel i have has a F marked FSB, and this is going off to ADCO for assembly. Either have them shave and park the FSB, or maybe parkerize the G block prior to install? I prefer the black G blocks. G block seems like it would be lower weight with an already heavy barrel.

Thoughts?

Don't forget the gas tube. Nothing looks worse shining through the rail.

I decided on the shave route - I doubt you will notice the weight difference between the 2 if any.

SIG is barely holding onto their contract selling Airsoft optics at 4,000x markup, and laughing all the way to the bank.

Do you think they would tempt a contract violation so they could make 8,000x markup?

If they are "in use" they are not "Made in China."

Colt discontinued making them a while back.

I know of a couple guys that had a bunch, but they sold out quick with the geissele sale.

Some pop up in the EE at a premium, but you have to be quick.

I would either have ADCO shave and park the FSB, or have them PIN the G block.  Those would be the most durable options.
I don't think they can park the G block, I believe it is stainless.

Received the BRT gas port kit and installed it in the gas block. Very easy to do. They recommended a 061 port as a starting point for suppressed use on an 11.5 barrel. I ended up going with an 063 because I clicked the wrong thing when ordering .

I'll give it a try and see how it does.

DD 11.5” installed with the G gas block.  Still trying to figure what muzzle device to go with (thinking about picking up another suppressor specifically for this upper)

Email the man.
I picked a couple that way.

Shoot an email asap, I think he has a 24hr notice before he goes on to the next buyer.

Make sure you measure your gas port.

They sent me a .076 but were kind enough to swap it for me.

.063 will be a good gas port to start with.  i have an 11.5" with a .065 gas port and with an a5 setup it's a smooth shooter with and without a can.  it hasn't been finicky on ammo either , i only shoot factory loaded brass through it though.  i've also run a bootleg carrier on it to choke it down a bit more when shooting suppressed and it still runs fine.  this is the barrel i'll be running in my upper but with a superlative arms gas block instead of the adjustable carrier.

Recieved one of my rails.   I would have called it a blem but I guess big G finds a blatant tool path issue ok.

Aside from that here is a color comparison

Colt FDE tube
Colt Cera OD lower
DD RIS MK18
G DDC rail

They all have that... and these are all blems. That's why they blew them out.

Mine isn't sour apple, but it's still not as dark as I would have liked.

Probably in a few months when everyone is showing them off, and demand peaks, I will try to trade it for a Super Tricon and a few rusty FAL mags.

All of their rails I have handled first hand have those path marks, some more pronounced like yours and other a bit better blended, but they all have it.  I figured they do it on purpose for some reason.

I was joking. The G rep had suggested this in a thread from their industry forum.  But it doesn’t actually bother me.

Anyone else having trouble getting the Geissele gas block on the Colt HRT barrels? Barrel measures right at .750, but I tried 3 gas blocks to no avail. They all measured slightly smaller than .750
