I am creating a similar setup.  Word to the wise, the Matech rear sight doesn't fit underneath the Sig TANGO-6T.  It looks superficially like it fits, but the sight touches the ocular -- no bueño.

What will this mean in the field?  Will another BUIS be employed, or will soldiers do without one?

Looks like a combination of "Don't know" and/or the system is shown to be a lot more reliable in fielding than for armchair warriors.

I know I might be redundant (someone else might have already asked), but would you let all of us know if something weird occur out there if reported, for the URG-I?

Think they might go for the offset MBUS, which is already adopted, and will never get in the way.

Most of the pictures in this thread that have the Tango6 don’t have BUIS.

LPVOs don’t usually have QD mounts so why bother with BUIS.

There is one Green Beret whose rifle was outfitted with an ATACR and offset MBUS, though. The offset MBUS was also officially adopted, so I'd say still within clone spec.

Let's go, UPS man!  Charging handle arriving today, 4p sometime next week.  Gonna pull the EXPS from my SCAR to get this upper up and running.  I'm loving the balance of the 11.5 so far.

Is there a difference in desirability for the non-integral QD socket Mk16s? I assume there aren't any in inventory so they're more clone correct than Geisseles current iteration. Debating selling a blem non-QD Mk16 and I'm curious.

I thought they ditched the insert on current production MK16 handguards.

No, you're right. The MK16 is now made of "7000 aluminum" and there's no need for QD socket. Matter of fact, I've tinkered the Lucifer's Office out of mine, a near clone from 2019 (which is 6061), and nothing failed, so, yeah, it's not necessary.

But for other rails, yes, most of them have been coming with the extra insert. Good for extra reinforcement, but not gonna amuse clonerds.

Bit of a teaser.

My home defense carbine is set similarly to my URG-I, but with red dot. I'll put a scope on it when I have the mullah, but for now, that'll be it. Then again, what's the range of home defense engagement?

Please take no offense, no mean to drive away from the topic, or interject your conversation, CD, but I prefer THIS over the watches.

And a sh!t load of government sponsored ammo.

I guess the only thing it needs is a rear sight, since it has a front sight.  (And a non-hot dog ambi safety, if anybody could help me out)

Long time listener, first time poster. So I have read through all 250 pages and did some google foo, and I still don’t know what the clone correct ambi safety is supposed to look like. Can someone post what a “non” hot dog one is supposed to look like? I keep finding threads with archived pictures or angled photos that don’t help. Thanks.

This is a hotdog, the lever basically covers the whole pointy spot

This one is correct and also f/a. The lever does not cover the entire pointy part and the ambi arm is short

I don't know that I've ever seen a non "hotdog" semi selector other than those that KAC used to sell.

Anyone have one of these from Arm Unlimited?

I suspect they are identical to the Schmid/Colt other than having the KAC style scalloped arm.

Could probably buy the AU FA selector and the Schmid short/long semi for $50 and combine for the exact look you want.

Unfortunately, they don't show the side you care about in their pics.

Another option might be the LMT full auto ambi selector with a replacement short arm.

Guys, especially CD, honest question - is the URG-I "that" prone to being sluggish after heavy usage? I will admit, I use G's Go-Juice, which is more than effective, but I need to know, was it more likely to be sluggish than Block II, especially because of gas length difference? As well, anyone who own both uppers noticed this?
