I've already been 1.93, which is why I had to ditch that G even though I got a good deal on it.

Love your setup.  Sorry if I missed it earlier in this thread, but is that a 10.5 or 11.5? Either way it looks great with the slr handguard.

I'll be playing musical chairs with an ass load of parts this weekend, so expect picture whoring.

As soon as this can is approved, this will be a thing, but I don't shoot unsuppressed unless it's retro irons only

Can I play?  The scope and mount will be going on an in progress build, but figured I would see how I like the 1.7 mount.  I think I’m in love.  Very comfortable.  Now if I can just find a Griffin Armament full size Flash Hider, I can finish the build the Steiner is supposed to go on.

I’m seeing lots of Steiner optics here. I don’t have any experience with them. How do they compare to say a Kahles ?
Link Posted: 2/29/2020 3:02:02 PM EST
[Last Edit: monkeybeard] [#22]
*In my experience*, worse... Kahles owns the 1-X (X</=6) SFP; and has yet to be dethroned... Some competitors *ETA - competitors as in competitions, not mfg* don't like it, but I advocate the SM-1 reticle for the "assaulter" holds...

The Kahles is a superb optic but I think it’s a little silly to compare a $2k optic to a $500 one. The Steiner is a great value.

I’ve never had a razor. Hear they are awesome but heavy. Correct? I’ve had the k16i and should have kept it. Steiner lighter than the razor? Are you guys pictured with the Steiner using the 1-5x?

Most of us are running the P4Xi. It's retail is $700 now but they can be found for $500 or less used.

Rebel is right, it's between the 1-6 PST and RAZOR.

It's an insane value.

I remember when retail was around $500.  DSG always had them for $450ish.  Gone are those days... And it was only a year ago.

Mine is coming together. RAS arrived today, but I was accidentally sent the short version.

Colt lower
Geissele SSA-E
LMT SOPMOD
CQD Rear
MIAD

BCM 11.5 QRF Upper
PRI Gasbuster
KAC F/R Sights
ADM Mount
US Optics SR8C
AAC 51T and M4-2000

Once I get the Medium RAS on and a new bipod it will be done... until I swap to a stainless barrel.

The NX8 is sick. I generally like FFP, but the Razor red dot is hard to beat. I got the US Optics SR8C to try. Red dot is super bright, good eye relief, but SFP.

Love to see all the PRI setups, that has been my idea for the perfect mini recce for a while. A 12.5 inch 6.5 Grendel with the can tucked under a PRI carbon fiber with a 1-8x.

Been following the thread for a few years so guess I’ll contribute. Usually use a red dot but taking the 1-8x off the 308 to have a little more mag for Cola.
