So after i had trouble with my Geissele SSA-E double-firing and not resetting, I sent it in for them to look at it. It took a while, but they did respond. First off, There's no way that build with the LaRue lower had anywhere near 5K on it. Not even 1K. My eyes have really been opened after using the Superlative Arms adjustable gas block. I knew that other build was snappy, but I had no idea how bad I was beating up my FCG. I'll run an adjustable from now on. The other thing is that once its tuned- I feel like the sound level was so much better on the Surefire Mini2 compared to the non-adjustable build with the Sandman K. I also did not know that its recommended to replace springs every 5K. Need to invest in some spares now...

Cyclic speed has jack shit to do with a spring on a fixed travel wearing.  In fancy talk, it never exceeded it's maximum deflection because it can't.
That spring just wore out early.  That's just my educated opinion.

I think the 12.5 is just about done for now, heading to the range Sunday for a quick zero on both optics.

Putting together a mini for my mini. Had to borrow the Accupoint from the 12.5 for the mockup, but I’m liking how it’s coming together. Still need an optic, light, and can (Micro 30 is currently in jail).

Cool. Whole setup looks wicked.  Let us know how that flash hider shoots with the 13.9 barrel. I'm contemplating that or the flash comp for similar barrel lengths.

Will do.  The flash hider was long enough where it only took a couple of shims to make it 16.1".  The flash comp is a little shorter.

Awesome Pantah.

I was lucky enough that my Ducati mechanic was a Superbike mechanic who cut his teeth
with Muzzy Kawasacki and specialized in suspension mods and Ducati Fuel Injection.
That 907 could hang with anything, even a 748R on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and two up,
a few clicks on the shock and slight spanner adjustment and it was heaven with 115lbs on
the back.

Got the Mini Recce out with the NX8 for the first time today.  The extra mag over the Elcan was extremely useful in identifying smaller camouflaged targets (painted white against a snowy background).

Overall the NX8 isn’t too bad, eyebox is tight, but not overly so on higher powers.  I will say, clarity and distortion towards the edges of the glass on 8x leave quite a bit to be desired (although it honestly doesn’t really have a negative impact).  Dialing back the power to 6x pretty much alleviates all clarity issues, though.

All in all, I’m happy with it, especially when you factor in weight and size.  Zeroed with IMI M193 @ 50yds and was easily hitting man size steel out to 500y and even connected a few times at 750 (on 20” steel squares) with a 5ish mph crosswind, something I could never do with the Elcan, at least not with any consistency.

Was meaning to ask you, you use any risers with your Reptilia cap + RMR?  The elevation turret completely obscures the RMR window for me when I tested it out.  In practice, it shouldn’t make much difference with both eyes open (essentially an OEG), just found it a bit annoying.

Emptied a mag full of subs with intermittent FA bursts and the can didn't even get that hot, much less the rail. Granted, mine is circumcised a bit more.

Did you cut down a G 13.5 MK16 rail ? I know G makes them in 13.5-10.5-9.5, yours looks like it’s between 11.5-12.5 inches long.

well yeah. All the previous versions (urx 2, 3, 3.1) only have the 10.75" option. I wasn't wondering about the reason for the 10.75, I was wondering why they also offer a 10".

Or in the case of URX3.1 to URX4, they went from 8" to 8.5" but don't offer both lengths in either version. So I'm just saying it isn't obvious to me why KAC has both the 10 and 10.75 lengths in the URX4 line.

Don't get me wrong, I have one of each (urx3.1 8, 10.75, and a couple 13.5", urx4 8.5, 10, and 10.75", urx2 10.75"...and even a urx3 12.5"...hmmm that's a lot of URXs now that I think about it) and the 10" URX4 is great on a 10.5" barrel.

I just don't see any 10.5" KAC offerings that would require that length, so it just seems a bit random to offer the rail itself.
