Negative. Your options are old school CAR or SOPMOD. Deal with it bro.

I don't know what all the hubbablue is about, the SOCOM ACE stock isn't that bad.  It's adjustable, light weight, stream-lined and generally no better or worse than most other stocks out there.  Just my thoughts though...

Is the Bison not properly turned for the OpsInc brake and collar?

I've never used one, I just hate the way it looks. Same with 80% of Magpul stocks. What can I say - I'm a diehard SOPMOD and CAR stock guy.

It comes setup to accept the OPS Inc brake and collar - I meant that in addition to the barrel, I'm sending off all my upper parts to have ADCO build the entire upper for me.

Not sure. I know I'm like 50 pages behind right now, but this is all I'm looking for.

Someone completed theirs I think but I haven't seen a range report yet.

I'll have one completed minus the glass in a couple weeks hopefully. Unless I can find a killer deal on a MK4 3.5-10 it'll be a while until I save up the dough for that scope.

Anyone know of any suppressor covers that would be ideally sized for the AEM5?

One in EE for $1050, not mine:

For anybody actually, it's the right kind of 3.5-10. Illum, Mil dot, and M3 knobs. Only way to +1 it is getting an old 2001 ish one.

Scouring the internet and leupold website with no luck. I picked up a mark 4 mr/t 2.5x8 with M2 mk12 mod 1 turrets.  The manual is great for MOA etc. but it doesn't have much info on the turret markings themselves.

Is it as simple as the turrets make it seem?  The large numbers should roughly equal the distance (x100m)?  So if i'm zeroed at 1 (100m) it should be as simple as dialing to the larger number?

Honestly, to me one of the main points of these clone threads is to help each other find parts. I'm fine with part pimping for clone bits, whether it's yours or something you found. Locking a thread that literally revolves around guy buying parts for their builds, some hard to find some no longer made, seems counterintuitive.

The mods seem fine with "I've got this part, shoot me a PM if you need it". But posting the price and links are no-nos. I'm just trying to play by the CoC. But I agree that we should help each other with the hunt if we can.

Osha, handsome rifle; hate to see it sell unless someone in this thread gets it.

As soon as I get my rail back from PRI (epoxy gave way) and my lower comes in... The Mod H will be born. However; I have some decisions to make. So help me out.

1) do I keep my M1 illum MK4 on the MOD1 and put the M3 illum on the H?

2) ACOG on the H, M3 illum on the MOD1 and sell the other leupy.

3) currently I will be set up for a vortex FH with the ops inc threads, do I sell and get the brake? Or keep it that way. The vortex looks sick!

...decisions....

Completed? No. Minus the optics and suppressor:

Closer look at the upper:

- Colt M4 Flat-top Upper Receiver
- Colt BCG with CLE matched bolt
- PRI gas buster
- 16" Douglas SS Bead Blasted Barrel Chambered to 5.56 CLE Match
- PRI FF Tube
- AE AEMB brake and SPR collar
- #22 ARMS Hs with TRC & TRR Mount (currently)
- ARMS #32 Bipod Mount
- Harris S-BRM
- KAC Black Dildo

No optics, still. Headed in the direction of installing a Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS and LT-104 Mount. Just need to find a vendor who has them reasonably priced

Know anyone that has the Horus model for less than a left nut?

I think $3200-$3400 will be the winning price for one, unless somebody wants to whore out their .mil discount...

Edit: spot on about the barrel. Can't wait to shoot long ranges with it

They have been spotted mk12's in the wild.

I have seen this pic a thousand times, but I just noticed that the cap for the elevation turret was sitting in the foreground.

Both caps are there.

I wasn't sure if these were one offs or part if the standard issue platform.

Seems like there is a bit more wiggle room as the MK12 got longer in the tooth.

Thanks,

Quick Update on my build (since this thread is moving so slowly the passed 24 hours)

Parts are accumulating.  A certain "unicorn" rail is on its way.  I picked up an old MK4 3-8 with ARMS high rings last night.  Almost there.

So i ran across 2 A1 grips; which clones to put them on (between the MK18, Block II, Block II CQBR, MK12 mod 0, MK12 mod 1, A4)?  Leaning towards both MK12's or the Mod 0 and the Block II

Well the A1 grip is spec for both the Mk 12 and Mk 18 (since they were both built on A1 lowers).

Let me apologize in advance for the poor picture qualities. However, I wanted to give a range report after taking this new build (Mk12 Mod 1) out for the first time.

" />

I was a little overzealous/impatient by taking it straight to the 100 yard range to try and zero in. I had just mounted the scope and should have tried to put it on paper on zero in at the 50 yard range, but I cut to the chase. I paid for it by going through about 40 rounds (not 77 grain). Nonetheless, here is the result - again, it was at 100 yards.

" />

You can see where my rounds started to climb as I tried to get to zero. Basically, I suck.

Good news? The rifle works and functions flawlessly. I was squinting and bracing for impact as I squeezed off the first round down range. It was my first build I didn't know if the thing would go, BOOM, when I fired the first round. I'm very happy with it. Just have to keep shooting to get better.

I can tell you right now youre gonna get a shit storm of comments about ur nightforce on the rail and how itll never keep zero mounted like that. Besides that, what barrel and trigger did you use?

I had just mounted the scope and should have tried to put it on paper on zero in at the 50 yard range, but I cut to the chase. I paid for it by going through about 40 rounds (not 77 grain). Nonetheless, here is the result - again, it was at 100 yards.

I re-mounted my TAS-1 after the paint dried, and it has to go. A painted rifle with a black sling just ain't cuttin' it for me.

So, how much ridicule would befall me if I were to use an FDE, padded mk2 on an early mod0?

I was a little overzealous/impatient by taking it straight to the 100 yard range to try and zero in. Really, your 100 yard target isnt so bad for first time out.  Im curious what trigger you are using.  Also, what kind of ammo.  You really need to loosen your rings and move your scope back onto the upper receiver.

My opinion.  Use whatever sling you like.  If you are going to use the rifle to hunt or carry around, a sling is paramount. The operator that used a rifle like that would have done the same thing.

Good point.

I'll probably still go with a 3pt sling, and throw on a CQD front mount to stay "semi-spec" at the very least.

Just curious, why did you start with a black base layer?

Take those ARMS rings and mount the front ring all the way forward on your upper receiver, right at the edge. Set the back one wherever it makes sense, remount your NF and make sure your eye-relief is good. If you wanna bridge the gap like that, buy an S-Ex sleeve or an LT-104 and pass those rings on to another Mk12er.

Rifle looks great; now paint it.
