ALG or MI. ALG does not have any rails on it, but it does include a couple rail sections i believe. MI has a full top rail and then a couple rail sections, depending on keymod/mlok

/quote/It's the scopeFly, a zipper adjustable cover for the fiber optic tube, allows you to adjust the intensity of the reticle very effectively.
I think I got it from 3gun stuff./quote/

Yes. the original MK 4 or something like that. Always been a fan of the design, I've got MRPs for true continuous upper rails.

Here she is sporting a TA55.

Na my Mod1"ish" with, you guessed it, a DD rail and Douglas barrel.
I am also a huge fan of Mark's rails.

Got the chance to put some decent ammo through this one today, and for a 14.5 SOCOM, it ain't bad. However, the FC-2 reticle doesn't quite lend itself to precision work.

Douglas Recce with TA01NSN

.... Can't figure out how to embed the pics sorry.
Never had a chance to shoot this upper and I'm pulling the barrel tonight, going back to 18" (MK12 Mod 1) with the A1 lower for my precision rig.
My block II clone will get the TA01nsn and pull recce duty.
Anyone looking to trade a Douglas 16" recon with matched bolt for an 18" Douglas SPR shoot me a PM.

I know right! It actually performed slightly better than the 69gr FGMM
.454moa was obviously my smallest of the day and maybe a fluke, but all the other groups were sub moa as well... No complaints here

As for the scope... I like it! Nice, bright, crisp glass even in the gloomy foggy weather. Can't really say much else, and I didn't really put it through its paces (at only 100yds) or do any box testing in short time I had yesterday... Took a 2 1/2 foot drop onto the concrete like a champ and didn't lose zero

Hey Slowkota1, this is the rifle with the Lilja barrel correct? What chamber was it cut with? Just wondering how its managing to throw XM855 downrange with such accuracy-not detracting from your part in the equation, of course. Great build!

Went out to the range today, and this one was one of 3 rifles that I brought with me.

I sighted in the irons at 50, and then moved over to 100yds.

This is my 5 shot group, 55gr SP (handloads) with 3x optic shown in the pic above and using that grip as a monopod.

I have to say, it is a sweet shooting rifle with a mid length gas, I am glad I went to DI from Piston.

That one hole on the bottom is a flyer from me shooting a rapid string standing up, you don't see all of the holes all over the paper. :)

I think it is safe take this upper apart and paint it to match the lower. Its a keeper.

.223 Wylde 1-8 twist

I'll hopefully be heading out again New Year's weekend... See if it performs the same, or if it was just all the stars aligning voodoo that happened last saturday. By all accounts XM855 is NOT supposed to be THAT accurate, even at only 100 yards. Maybe I'll have a SSA-E trigger by then as well

Gonna bring out more of the XM855, and pick up some XM193, MK262 (SSA clone loads), and some 75gr TAP... See how that stuff performs @ 100 yards. It'll be a lil while before I get to a longer range

They have a 2.5x and a 4x now.  The reticles look a bit different than the 3x, but they are options if you weren't aware of them.

I am going to keep the 3x on this rifle. I have other rifles with higher power scopes if needed.

Also, I am thinking about doing a honeycomb pattern over burnt bronze once I am done. Maybe tungsten/gray color?

Today, I got around to ordering a Harris Bipod (BRM) and a MAGPUL M-LOK Harris Bipod mount from Primary Arms. They have bipods at 15% off right now. The M-LOK mount will work great. When the bipod is not mounted, the adapter will sit fairly flush on the rail with the exception of the stud. Now, I am just waiting to get the VORTEX Viper PST1-4x24 TMCQ MOA scope and the ADM RECON mount.

ETA: added the Harris BRM bipod and MAGPUL M-LOK bipod mount yesterday. Also, the scope and mount will be here next week.
