USMC 3 Day FILBE/Assault Pack. It's pretty practical and handy when climbing up hills/mountains and I ran it like that when I was in and still do now as seen in the picture.

Nice. I managed to hang on to a Kelty Strike 2300 assault pack I was issued about 10 years ago, pre-MOLLE/PALS version. Probably not the best pack out there when compared to what's been introduced over the years, but it has held up very well through heavy use and I still tote it around. It's been a great day pack.

Scored an awesome gun shop find the other day. Brand new Mk11 Mod 1, been sitting on the shelf unfired since 2011. I plan to keep her that way until the M110 can clears.

Outstanding! This one doesn’t appear to have the SS Obermeyer barrels that came out in 2009. Curious to know more about these 2011 Mod 1’s

Correct, this does not have the SS barrel that I've seen in some of the literature. From what I can tell this is a chrome moly M110 barrel. For what it's worth, this rifle was build 7/15/2009 per KAC, but not sold until 10/4/2011. I wish this rifle had the Obermyer SS as I have no clue if the chrome moly is good or not, but decided I better take what I could get.

That said, this promotional poster from KAC back in 2009 does appear to show a black barrel similar to what mine has vs the silver SS:

Yeah, that promotional ad is reflecting a real Mod 1 issued to USMC Scout Snipers around 2006. The lowers for issued Mod 1’s were pulled from Mod 0’s. The Mod 1 engraved lowers were made specifically for the commercial release.

For some reason the stainless aesthetically bothered me so I had my Mod 1 SS barrel cerakoted.

Either way, very nice find!

Ah gotcha..... I didn't think about that promotional rifle being a real Mod 1. I'd love to get more info on what barrel this rifle actually has but when I asked KAC for info that indicated they do not keep specific build records based on serial number. Either way the test target is solid so I know it'll shoot, I just want to know the details on exactly what I've got haha.

Filed as an individual - 158 days from when the check was cashed to the day I got the approval in the mail.

I would imagine you wouldn't have much longer at all to wait.

I field a Form 4 through the kiosk as an individual and I am pending for 135 days.  I called the ATF last Thursday and was advised wait times are at 6 to 7 months.  158 days sounds mo betta.  Fingers crossed.

Cheers

Same answer I got from the ATF. Not my first rodeo with a Form 4, so I'm surprised to see some guys who got their check cashed after me get their stamp back already. I filed under my Trust at a local kiosk. ATF Cashed my check 1 Sept 2020. At the rate things are moving currently I'm looking at about 2 years or more before my next pair of KAC can orders are filled and complete the process. I've waited two years for a can before.

In 2019 I had 8 suppressors clear through the kiosk at the same time although they varied in pending time between 125 and 300 days.  All my previous suppressors were field as an individual through a dealer.

Yeah, my last two were done via the Kiosk - both filed as an individual.

The Surefire 762-RC2 took 146 days and the Mk11 can took 158 days.

That's quite a change though from years past - both my AEM5 and Surefire 556-RC took about 11 months.

Seems like shit is all over the place.

Anyway, hoping you guys get your toys soon so you can post some pics.

I use  the 1750 for mine, It's bigger but you don't need to disassemble the Rifle and you can fit everything you need with the Rifle in the case
