Is the Spear compatible with the Geissele MCX trigger? I wouldn't see why not, but who knows. The question in the Virtus thread made me think of this. |

If you run 1750, you get a number that's way off. The numbers work out for the 24" listed, as well as for both barrel lengths in the 3-piece casing/cartridge as listed. I just think that someone fat-fingered it in. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I heard a good source saying that they were getting 3,000FPS out of a 13 inch barrel at one point with the 6.8. If true then the current .277 is not as hot as it could be...or were those 13" barrel numbers with a noticeably lighter bullet? |

I saw the Osage one, too. I think that one will go for more, as they're a better-known seller on Gunbroker.
I figured they'd sell about $15-$20k right now. Who knows how high they'll get in a few years/decades. But I want one to shoot-preferably right about now. |

So buy SBR on gunbroker for way more due to rarity and FOMO, wait a year to receive it due to you having to wait on a Form 4. While you are waiting the “regular” model arrives and all your buddies are posting about how great it is and taking theirs shooting. All the while you are big sad as you can only look at pictures of yours, I’m going to go with a hard no.

Yeah, Osage will sell for 20k because they say there will only be thirty. The person that wins will be pissed when they find out more than 30 will be available. Sig just posted a picture of them boxing up and shipping 50, and that’s just one inspection batch.

They could also do it to spread the win around to everyone and eliminate single points of failure. There’s still a chance that the army picks a single source. This gun is for anyone who might care about the way the NGSW gun was submitted to trials and testing. If you are just looking for a large-framed MCX and dont care about the arc of the NGSW program, then the production model(s) will be right up your alley. Sure, publicity, brand management, etc are all things that any brand has to be aware of. It doesn't mean we're ignoring our customer base - quite the contrary. I think we have outpaced most of our competition when it comes to providing the commercial market with the same products we are selling Uncle Sam. |
