@coregon
Do you have any idea on lead times for the LT 11” 556 for the instructor program? I’m in Illinois and part of a temporary restraining order against the new ban and don’t know how long it will hold. |

Alabama Arsenal has just posted their next video on the MCX Spear. They were very impressed with it.

As I said, this won’t be worth the price tag with that barrel.oh well, I was hoping for sub MOA at the level of quality I was expecting. |

View Quote This is just one rifle thats been passed around between youtubers. I am going to wait to see what people are getting once these are released in numbers. I dont recall any match ammo being used so this is in line with ball ammo. Could be a 1.5-2 moa gun or maybe better, who knows. The interesting part of this video is whatever steel sig is using to prolong barrel life using the new round. His mention of that steel was the biggest take away from that video for me. |

View Quote Why don’t you buy an MCX Virtus and then buy an upper kit when they become available? Unless you are bent on getting the ambi bolt catch and steel QD cups. I for one don’t care. WA State is trying to pass an AWB, so I bought a Virtus pistol and now will wait for the black upper kits. |

Not a bad idea, but here they banned purchase of all parts that can make an assault weapon. Kinda feel the need to stock pile parts. I already bought “high capacity” mags for guns I don’t even own yet.

That’s what I will do if WA state gets their AWB. |

And sub 2 MOA from a heavily used press loaner is not bad at all. |

For the pricepoint again, I said at $4k+ it must be a 1MOA or better rifle. I expect it to come in around $5k though. For whatever the .MIL is paying for it, damn sure better be 1MOA. Another thing is if a rifle is a press rifle and is shot out already? Ummm yeah. Concern. The SCAR 17 was never a sub-moa platform but one in six of them could be, with a G-SCAR trigger. That is an old design now and technology, standards have gone up. I like the idea of the Spear concept but want to see it perform, not in a mediocre way. Since I do not have one yet, I cannot tell where it will go but not everyone can go "Rah rah rah ree ree ree kick em' in the knee!" until we see the proof of performance in our own hands. I will cheer it on if it meets the standard for a modern battle rifle. |

|
I don't see anything under 2MOA as mediocre for a service rifle, period. Shit, most shooters can't get sub MOA out of a sub MOA gun anyway.

Agreed 100% The new smart scope for the Army that's part of the NGSW program should theoretically improve the accuracy of the average soldier at distance. Still though, 2MOA ain't bad for an infantry carbine. |

You guys are on the record as accepting 2 MOA from a platinum-tier rifle lol. I will get one as well but have set my expectations accordingly!
Please note: If it shoots as well as the LWRC SMG 45 did then we may have an issue. |

I’ll do an MOA all day face off between the SPEAR and SPEAR LT (5.56). Post up your guesses. |

So opinions needed, do I get the 16 inch and hope that barrel kits arent too far along or do I just go sbr route 13 inch right off the rip and get a 16 later. I want the 13 inch barrel for both 308 and 277. I like the idea of having the 16 inch so can i move freely about the country. what are you guys doing and what do you think?
|

They still don't even have full caliber kits for the LT so I would expect like 2 years wait for those barrels n handguards but that's just me, basing it on nothing but pessimism lol
Just noticed there's no Creedmoor version listed there & that was supposed to be first. No idea what's going on anymore :) Think I'd rather have the 8 inch barrel Raptor than this 13in 308 but if there's no Fury yet then doesn't matter much rn |

@coregon if my local shop only has a 13” pistol how much trouble am I going to have finding the stock after? Is sig CS going to tell me about how they’re only focusing on full rifles for now
Edit: maybe this is it https://www.sigsauer.com/mcx-mpx-folding-magpul-sl-k-stock-and-adapter-fde.html |
