Found a great thread in General Discussion with a ton of new rooms I hadn't seen before, so I reposted them here. Some terrific collections.

What would be a good flooring material? I was thinking about the pergo flooring. Not sure how it would hold up to a spill of solvant or something. I have a blank slate in my basemeny 10x16 room.

I just redid a basement room using DriCore tiles for the subfloor, and a Pergo type floor from the local home improvement store. It was on clearence. The DriCore tiles are expensive, but I fugured why not do it right the first time. The install was pretty easy, just measure twice, and cut once.

Here are some pictures I found while researching for my future walk in concrete gun vault. There are about 100 in the album so I'll just link to that. I can't access the link from work so if it's broken, I'll fix it when I get home. http://www.pbase.com/loggah/the_vault

I got the AR brackets from Plastix Plus. www.pptexas.com They work great and are not expensive.

Cajun,
Tell me about the dowels. What size, how strong, what calibers will they work with? |
|
|
I used 5/16 dowel for hanging the 380's/9mm's and 7/16 for the .45 ACP's. Drilled into the 4x4 1.25" and left 4.25" extended out of 4x4. The two dowels at the top are only 3" long and are for the pocket pistols. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is not what is in that pic, but this is what I used: Expandable Weapon Racks Bob Stone was the sales guy, and they were good to work with. Not cheap, but I'll never break them or need to replace anything. I did an entire walk-in closet and I couldn't be happier with it. Here's a part of it: |
