I'll give you something here that you probably wouldn't otherwise be aware of that I find to be incredibly interesting.

Christia Freeland is the lead NAFTA negotiator for Canada.

Christia Freeland was recently in Belgium negotiating a free trade agreement with the Europeans.

Christia Freeland walked out of the negotiations with the Europeans literally in tears because she found the Europeans too tough to negotiate with.

On August 27, Trump sent out a Tweet claiming that Canada was being 'very difficult to negotiate with' and that the US might have to leave NAFTA.

The fucking Europeans made the lead Canadian negotiator cry because they were (allegedly) so tough on her, and yet Trump says that she's 'be very tough to negotiate with.'

Either: A) Christia Freeland (who was nominated by Turdeau) magically grew a backbone over the course of the last few months, OR, B) Trump's team are having their asses handed to them by some whiny liberal chick from Canada that the Europeans made cry.

That's not how this works.

Trump told you that only he could fix this.  Only he could get the government back in line.  Only he could bitch-slap the GOPe cucks into submission and make them do what he wanted them to do.

He was supposed to be the best thinker with the best words and greatest ideas that the Republcians would have no problem going along with.

Ted Cruz was a 'nasty' and 'weak' guy who 'didn't have any friends' and 'couldn't get anything done' because 'nobody likes him.'  Oh, and his dad shot JFK and maybe MLK, but I digress.

Trump was supposed the be the fighter and the winning winner!  He's a fighter and a winner who was going to fight and win when the going got tough -- not just rollover and cave in like all of the other cuck Republicans that were running.

The anti-Trump crowd remind me of the anti-Reagan crowd; always focusing on the minutiae but missing the big picture of how he was blessed to change America and the world for the better.

Perhaps you should spend less time paying attention to those who think their job is to tell you what to think.

Without 60 votes only a limited amount of legislation makes it to a floor vote. Without at least 50 votes, nothing passes.

The Democrats already had the means to block legislation: 46 Democrat senators, 2 "independent" senators who caucus with the Democrats and 3 "Republican" senators who will vote with them when the chips are down.

The agreement on the debt ceiling and a temporary spending bill didn't alter those crucial facts.

Why did the rinos want 18 months?
Every time they vote to increase the debt limit they remind their voters that they claim to be for fiscal responsibility when campaigning and promptly spend money like a drunken Democrat once in office.

It is to their advantage to remind voters of those facts as few times as possible, preferably as far in advance of the election as possible.
But don't the Democrats proudly and loudly call for raising the debt ceiling?

Why would they only want three months, as opposed to 18?

Sure it makes one wonder........of course it is questionable.  Was Trump overly frustrated with the GOPe, was he at his wits end with them...........was he rebelling against them and giving them a signal to come on board or FUCK them!!??  Sure those things are possible........I don't know, I am not in the man's head.

It also makes one wonder why the republicans are NOW saying Trump's bill for 3 months was better than Ryans's bill wanting 18 months?

What are the reasons for this switch from wanting the debt ceiling to "go away" during an election cycle to "now it is better that we went for Trump's bill"?

I honestly thinks it goes beyond that............I think their initial reaction to most anything "Trump legislation wise" is AUTOMATIC AND IMMEDIATE REJECTION.

Let the democrats try to attach the DREAM act to every piece of legislation and see how well that flies in the half dozen states with Dem senators up for re-election next year in states Trump won by double digits, or the other four states he won in.

Why are you so biased?  If you want to play with 107,000 votes, I can do the same.  Flip 107,000 votes in Trump's favor, and he wins the following states: New Hampshire, Maine, Nevada, and Minnesota.  Yes, Minnesota.  And you never-Trumpers laughed at Trump for visiting Minnesota during the campaign.

Also, if you total the Republican/libertarian vote and compare it to the democrat/green party vote, Trump picks up another 30 EV (not counting Colorado, which would have gone to a recount because it would be so close), AND Trump wins the the popular vote.

Finally, consider the impact of the vote fraud commission and the crackdown on illegals.  That is going to be good for another 1-3% of the vote in 2020.

Ingenious strategy for a Democrat

Why is Trump (Head of the Republican Party) going along with them?
Leverage.  To extend the debt ceiling, Congress needs Trump, so he has leverage.  Kicking the can down the road 18 months causes him to surrender that leverage to Ryan/McConnell.

He can now use his leverage to obtain some of the stuff he wants in December.  As part of that leverage, he can even force a gov't shutdown and expose RINOs who have primaries early next year.
Trading amnesty for potential "wall" funding does not sound like MAGA to me
Oh whale
What do you care I do not think you even voted for the man?
I don't vote for Democrats
Do you?
When it keeps RINO do nothings, pussies, and JEB Bush out of office I will consider it.

Anyone who was serious about mounting a credible challenge to a member of Congress should have started raising money no later than the beginning of this year. At this point they should have all the really important campaign staff in place.

I'm afraid that anyone who is expecting a wave of primary challengers is going to be disappointed.

Anyone who expects a large number of successful challengers is likely to be despondent.

That's conventional wisdom, and what you democrats are banking on.  But Trump isn't conventional, and MAGA isn't about Trump.

Democrat Senators are running in ten states that Trump won.  Six of those states were won by double digits.

Nine of those states are in the midwest/rust belt which is trending GOP.

The democrat senators up for re-election are in a bind.  If they support Trump's initiatives, this makes Trump looks better by securing wins, and it improves the economy, which helps the party in power.  If they oppose Trump's initiatives, the voters in those states will be irate with them.  It's a lose-lose deal.

The House is a little more competitive, but the crackdown on the illegals and voter fraud is going to negate whatever advantage the dems think they have.   Also, remember the Handel/Ossoff race, which was supposed to be referendum on Trump?  Polls had pajama boy winning by 5 points, but he lost by 5 points-- a bigger margin than Trump won the district by.

He provided the Democrats with the means to scuttle Tax reform and any legislation that attacks illegal immigration.

But you celebrate that.

Okay.
It is the GOPe who hasn't acted on tax reform yet.  The "wonkish" Paul Ryan has known for nearly a year that there would be a GOP House, Senate, and President; yet he hasn't brought a bill to the floor yet.  I'm not even sure it is out of committee yet.

Let the democrats try to attach the DREAM act to every piece of legislation and see how well that flies in the half dozen states with Dem senators up for re-election next year in states Trump won by double digits, or the other four states he won in.
A year?
"Nearly a year".  The election was in November.  We are now in September.  10 months.

Are you really this desperate of a troll to split hairs to this degree?  Do you not understand that 10 is nearly 12?

Haven't you gotten over Hillary! losing yet?

I'd like to bring to your attention that there are shades of gray here. Some of us legitimately want Trump to live up to what you - who remain his biggest fans - told us he'd do. We the people gave him a supermajority for two years to "Make America Great Again". There should be a string of successes you can post here that should even impress the most hardcore skeptics.

Instead we have exactly one, a Supreme Court Justice nomination.

if there was nothing to criticize these threads would be short and hilarious. If Trump was not bartering bad deals with the most liberal of Democrats, etc., things like that.

So I'm confused.

People love Trump because he is going to destroy the RINOs.

Yet he does the exact same thing that made people hate RINOs, like John McCain, in the first place. How is giving the democrats everything they want not the definition of a RINO?  Why is it bad when everyone else does it, but super awesome when Trump does it?

It's obvious to see why the democrats like short term debt limits. They get concessions each time. Pretty sure in December they will be willing to extend it again for three months as long as none of the money can be used for a border wall, and Trump agrees not to deport any dreamers. They can string this out for his entire administration and ensure nothing he promised will ever get done.
Ingenious strategy for a Democrat

Why is Trump (Head of the Republican Party) going along with them?
Because the Republicans have fucked him over multiple times now so he is showing that he will work with capitulate to democrats if they don't start getting their shit together?
Tell us about the conservative 18-month Blank Check the RINOs wanted that would have continued the last CR that Ryan wrote that fully funded the Dems priorities?

I simply do NOT know how he can get the GOPe on board...........they simply despise him and want him to utterly fail.

If you have any suggestions how to do that with people you have no legal or monetary authority over............who also hold the legislative purse strings so to speak.............PLEASE write a book and get it out there.

I am not smart enough to know how you get powerful people who UTTERLY despise someone, and want someone to UTTERLY fail, and be replaced as soon as possible can be done.  I do NOT know how to do that.

Look, I simply do NOT know how you thwart the GOPe's concerted efforts to make Trump fail and be replaced in 2020.

I honestly believe that the 2018 elections are our only hope to do that.........they MUST be diluted and made MUCH less effective.

Because, right now, the GOPe is succeeding in preventing ANY important legislation Trump campaigned for from occurring.

Those are simply undeniable facts.

Sorry, I wasn't that dumb. I hoped he'd win but set my expectations low.

There was a very good chance the election could have gone a different way. Moreso if the Dems hadn't been dumb enough to rig their primary in favor of Clinton.

The fact that the EC vote in his favor was sizable but, how that EC win came about should be concerning to even the most delusional #EverTrumper. You do realized he pulled off his EC win with just 107,000 votes in 3 swing states, right?

Don't worry sco'... I'm totes sure, he's done nothing to flip 107,000 votes in those states so far! He's got that 2nd term nailed!

If you think Trump is in vote winning territory, well, I hate to say it but you're just deluding yourself.

Not to say he can't get there but making deals with Pelosi and Schumer and, giving Dreamers amnesty is not going to do it. When you've got rabid supporters like Ann Coulter pissed, and rightfully so, that says something.
