Quoted: The Predator franchise is entertaining, although one has to wonder, would you pay for an exotic safari to hunt an ewok? Now a wookie, on the other hand... View Quote I loved the first Predator movie, but something I never really got is that Predators are supposed to be all about the thrill of the hunt, hunting things that can kill you, and yet the way they hunt is usually about as sporting as shooting fish in a barrel. |

Quoted: Alternate Cut: Girl and warrior friend get material character development through relational interaction and flashbacks. The audience is vested in their futures. They die 30 seconds into meeting the Predator, twenty three minutes into the film. The girl's mother senses loss and slowly emerges from her teepee. After the Bald Eagle's cameo, it flies over the mother and poops on her head. Elizabeth Warren, so stricken by sadness, doesn't notice. Credits roll. Same gifts as people depart the theater. View Quote Beed an after credits scene. After credits, slow zoom out through a fence, to a shot of AOC crying Attached File |

After watching Legion (decent S1, but S2 was so bad I quit halfway through) I am even less hopeful for this movie that I was a couple of weeks ago.
The lead actress in Prey plays a "badass" character in Legion and.... well I could type an essay on how bad she was in the role, but I'll just say she might have been the most unconvincing female "badass" major character I have EVER SEEN on a tv show and leave it at that. |

Hundreds of years pass from this film to the original Predator and that species didnt improve their tech? Gear/weapons look the same with no upgrades in Arnold's time

Quoted: Hundreds of years pass from this film to the original Predator and that species didnt improve their tech? Gear/weapons look the same with no upgrades in Arnold's time View Quote It was probably intentional to keep it sporting. We all know hunters that prefer archery and black powder guns. I remember the flintlock that was given to Danny Glover and thinking damn...what chance did those guys have? |

That sucks.
Explains why they kept coming back afterwards though. |

The lion COULD possibly kill you if everything went just wrong but really you are just there for the exotic nature of what you are killing. |

Have you noticed that they always match their weapon tech to the weapon tech of their prey? The Predator had a Plasmacaster with targeting system, a bio mask with HUD (among many other features), a cloaking device, etc. Dutch's team had standard 80's SMGs, assault rifles, one mini-gun (that went dry before they even knew what they were facing), frag grenades, etc. Doesn't seem very "matched" and "sporting" to me. Especially considering the Predator knew what he was facing from the start and Dutch's team didn't. |

Quoted: I heard there was going to be a Predator prequel and I had a trace amount of interest. The Predator (2018) was a shitshow, but Predators (2010) was surprisingly watchable. But then I found out this new Predator film was going to be about a 5' 7" 120 pound Native American girl fighting a Predator in the 17th century. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/36/0d/9f/360d9f9b8792ee945f2ccd39ebd07e46.gif Anyway, here is the teaser that came out today if you still give a shit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HGqcifonvs UPDATE Here is the trailer that came out on June 7.
