That makes sense to me. |

I'm certainly not intending to ostracize people who have health, money or emotional issues which render them childless. That is a completely separate subject worthy of enormous compassion.
I only meant to pry at those who have the good fortune of health and financial well being, but choose to not raise a family. To those who complain about the dire state of the world, I bet your ancestors have seen much worse. Consider veterans of the Civil War or WWI. I'm absolutely certain they had more understanding of the world then anxiety ridden conservative millennials who lose sleep over killer robots and illegal immigration. |

Most of us that are well off enough to choose to just not have kids are also smart enough to not just give in to poor impulse control and do something because that's the way it's always been done. My gf has 2 kids, ages 11 and 5. I have no kids, and don't want any. I have a laundry list of reasons why I don't want kids, but at the top of that list is that I am free to make that choice. The rest of the reasons are none of your god damn business.

I ask that because (in my opinion), fathers for many generations have believed their kids could have a better life. Which is one of the many reasons we don't have children. . . |
