Went to another Kroger. Same deal. Miller/Coors is $21.99 per case. Miller/Coors was somewhat picked through. Bud products were basically fully stocked.

Quoted: Having to fill out a rebate today is asinine. Scan the product bar code and the customer pays $10 less and the store gets it from the manufacturer. View Quote 2 reasons. First, the vast majority of people never bother sending them in. Scanning it at the register ensures 100% redemption rate, which is asinine for the company. Secondly, mfg rebates don't "scan through" Nielsen and other share tracking outfits. So claims like "America's #1 Beer" (I'm making it up, but crap like that) must be supported by point of sale data that says they are the $ Share leader. Mfg rebates don't count against you, but instantly redeemable coupons and sale prices DO. So mfg rebates and "future value" promotions (buy this today, get a $5 gift card for tomorrow) are popular for these reasons. |

Mail in rebates is probably a way around that. |

Quoted: I'll walk past free AB products to buy Yuengling. View Quote My BIL works at the bud brewery in Houston. I can get all the free Bud I would want. Keyword "want" I don't want it. I have taken some in the past but most of the time it would just sit in the ice box and I'd go buy shiner or more recently yuengling. |

At what price point does Bud Light become a true value as a reactive target?

Picked up some Aldtstadt Kolsch and Shiner Sea salt and lime from the wally world earlier. They seemed to have plenty of Budweiser left in stock.

I told MRS ltcdwb about the photo in the OP. She asked that I post a big THANK YOU to the OP. She appreciates the information. Still not gonna buy any.................

This is purely an ancedote but I was up in Amarillo Texas the last three weeks. I went to Cowboys and Cadillacs one Saturday night just to decompress and people watch. I noticed NO ONE was drinking Bud Light or any Budweiser products. This is the Panhandle of Texas, Budweiser is a staple there. I grew up drinking it. They had all the Budweiser signs on the wall turned off. Yuengling banners were hung up on the walls as well. I looked around behind the bars what I could see and in the tubs they were massivly overstocked on Bud Light and Budweiser, other beers were in short supply. AB has truly screwed the pooch on this one. When you've lost us Texas Rednecks, you are pretty fucked.

Drinking Bud Light Turns Deadly
Harris County Deputy runs over pedestrian carrying a case of Bud Light. ![]() https://abc13.com/deadly-pedestrian-crash-man-hit-and-killed-on-beltway-feeder-north-belt-fatal-hardy-toll-road-traffic/13254669/ |

Still overpriced. That shits gross. I must say though, I'm impressed that people are holding the line and it's making a bit of a dent.

By lowering the price of their beer, advertising a case for less than $10 is also lowering the price that future customers are willing to pay for it. This will further hurt future sales. The customer is gonna look at the price now vs. in the future and balk at that price when they were getting it cheaper, although it was with a rebate. They're gonna expect that lower price and pass on it when rises back to the old price.

I don't drink beer and thought about buying some of the cheap stuff for target practice but then I'd just be helping them.

Went to a local baseball game tonight. Saw lots of folks drinking Coors. Not a single Bud at all.

I went to another large store here in Houston. Nobody is touching the bud light or even the bud, but they sure are buying the Michelob Ultra and Hinakin.

Quoted: It’s kind of a scam anyways. It’s a manufacturer rebate so you likely need to fill out some BS form that prints out at checkout. You have to give them all your info and send it in and you’ll get your $10 back in like 6 months. View Quote Yep. I want to see pallets of A-B products out on the sidewalk with a sign that says "Free - Take One!"... and people walking right by. |

I’m surprised the Biden administration hasn’t stepped in to save Bud Light by buying up a few million cases and shipping it to Ukraine, to help the war effort.

Quoted: If they lost money on the sale and then seen it further expand the ongoing memes again them...they would care. The point of giving it away cheap is to get people back to drinking it. A meme mocking them is the opposite of that. View Quote |

Oof. That's even worse than the 20 dollar rebates.
