Far as I'm concerned, nobody else outside the state of CA should be buying magazines ANY_FUCKING_WHERE.
Just don't do it. |

California could issue an arrest warrant for whatever fucked up unconstitutional law(s). If they would extradite, upon arrest you would be transported to California. Because this would be crossing state laws who knows what Federal laws may or may not exist View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I have a question. What would happen to me if I as a Texas resident bought standard magazines and sold them to Californians? Can Cali come to my door and arrest me? Read it again: "Any person IN this state". There also isn't other wording in the law that makes it an obvious crime for someone to export to CA. By CA's wording of "in", it seems it'd only be a crime if you were selling mags while physically in CA. Now I'm not a lawyer and CA may have some weird caselaw that goes against the common sense meaning of "in", so I wouldn't recommend selling and shipping mags outside the current window. |

I would never advocate breaking the law or anything, but hypothetically, if you’re just a little bit sneaky, how can a prosecutor prove that those 100 mags in your possession were purchased yesterday instead of, say, tomorrow? I don’t have a moral issue with “breaking laws” that yesterday were deemed unconstitutional and always have believed were. |

I just spoke with a customer service rep at primary arms over the phone. They are taking the stance that as long as the order is placed and paid for by 5pm PST/4pm CST, they will process and ship and even fin it ships tomorrow, it will still be 100% legal since the wording of the stay says “bought”. He also told me that a lot of people have canceled their orders for fear of it being deemed not completely legal by the courts so a lot of stuff that was out of stock last night is back in stock. Their site is quick and they picked up the phone in less than 3 minutes! Primary Arms has our back CA!

I haven't read past this post, so maybe someone answered already - But probably to have any stay be on his terms (e.g. carve out protection for those who ordered during the window). View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

From what I gather the way ahead from here is: 1. 9th says the mag restrictions are legal; opening the door to SCOTUS possibly taking it. 2. 9th says the mag restrictions illegal; CA gun owners win bigly Either way it gets interesting. We've wanted another SCOTUS gun case and this would be a big one. Do we know how long it takes 9th to do a case like this? Months? Years? (I really don't know) View Quote |
