The stores that are oos are marked down to $45. The one can is still at $89. Now I’ll just have to wait.
There is a bigger sporting goods chain in town with about 10 cans. I’m going to wait till that can drops to $45 and then take the receipt to see if they’ll match. |

Picked up 3 boxes of the 120gr .300BO from the Walmart by the house for $4 each. They were mixed in with the 220gr, and weren’t marked as clearance. Had them scan them, and they rung up at $4. There is another one nearby that has some also. They had a bunch of .38 and .380 federal defense and train ammo for $5 a box.

Drove an hour away to a Walmart that stated 2 cans in stock for $45. They couldn't 'find them'. Not sure if I'm mad at brickseek for inaccurate information or these backwoods hillbillies for not looking hard enough.

If there is anyone in the Tulare/Hanford/Visalia area of Ca I guess I am the 5th person to show up asking about the 2 that show in inventory.
At 45 bucks a can. They swear they have none. Asked a manager to just check one last time before I drive an hour home. Will wait to see. Got one more place to stop off on the way home before I write Ca off as being completely dry. Manager came out and said they both looked with no luck. |

I check Brickseek regularly to see "how low it will go" for the ammo cans. Today, 2 cans popped up at a local store, that has been showing OOS for 2 weeks. How many of you guys busted ass getting to the Chantilly Parkway store in Montgomery, AL today? I went before lunch, and the auto shop tech who got the ammo locker key, said several people had already stopped by asking about them, and yes, they had looked in the back. None available. He was helpful anyway, and helped me to look at some other stuff buried in the back of the sales floor ammo case. No special finds though.

At this point I've made seven trips to four Wal Marts that all showed cans in stock, as well as two trips to the local Dick's.
I've left with ammo a total of twice. Anybody else have similar track records? |

Has anyone found the cans that got added after OOS? It seems more likely that the SKU is cross-referenced with a different UPC. iirc that happened with car tires that got crossed with rubber door-stops, 30+ showing instock at stores that didn't even have an auto center.

Got my local Academy to price match a can at $89, based off the Walmart receipt I had. They didn't give me 5% difference though. The manager told me she usually would price match from either a photo of the item on another vendor's website or even a photo of the price sticker on the shelf at a local store, or in my case, with a receipt. She seemed puzzled when she couldn't pull up the ammo on her phone on Walmart's website. I told her it wouldn't work, and showed her how the Walmart phone app wouldn't pull up the SKU or UPC of the can either. Hooray for the receipt! However, I like that I don't have to buy something now for a price match at Academy, or at least, this one, Just a nice photo with the price works.

Statesville walmart held out and had two cans at $174 until this evening they marked them down to $45. I just got home from the 20min drive there and bought both of them.
This Walmart never puts clearance tags on anything, and brickseek deals have been hard to come by here. The lady that rang me up was the rude one who said they didn’t have the 150+qt coolers (showed 8 in stock some months back). Her face was priceless when these rang up $45

I finally scored two cans of the green tip! I’ve been keeping an eye on two cans at my local WM but they never dropped from $174. I was in there today and noticed that they still had 2 cans. There was an associate a few aisles away and she happened to be an assistant manager. I explained to her that I’ve been to stores all across lower Michigan (traveling for work) and they all have clearanced out the 5.56 cans. She said, “well let me get my scanner and printer, it’s possible that the department manager never checked for a price change.” Sure enough, she printed off a tag and they were $75. If you have any left around you that have not been marked down, I suggest you kindly ask a manager to check for a price change.
Edit: I just looked at the cans and I got 1 can of 62gr and 1 can of 55gr, even better!

Showed instock for $89 today while I was traveling for work.
1-No Drone in sporting goods 2-Find Drone 1, who contacts Drone 2 3-Neither Drone has or can find keys 4-Ask Drone 1 and 2 about ammo cans 5-Neither Drone knows what I am talking 6-Ask them to check in the back 7-Drone 1 claims it is “illegal” store ammo in the back 8-No ammo for me. |

 Weird thing is that none of the stores in my AO have put the ZQI 9mm on sale. It’s seemingly on sale everywhere else (I just picked up two cans on my way through North Carolina), but it’s still marked $497 at all the stores here |

It would be cool if you could just do a more specific search through brickseek. Like “in stock” within 500 miles of X. Or just do a complete search of the US for “in stock”.
Searching by zip gets tedious. I drive all over the place, so it would be cool to know if there’s stuff in stock en route without having to check the damn thing every 40-50 miles |
