Battle Los Angeles needs a sequel
IIRC, the original plan was a series of movies, that take place in different cities around the world.

The shit box office killed that.

I liked it as well, but understand why many didn't.
I think it would have done better if it was just released as a miniseries.

Have you seen the extended cut with Antietam and the John Wilkes Booth subplot?

What I really hate about it is that with it bombing, The Last Full Measure will never get made.

I loved Gods and Generals, but you're right, it would have done better as a miniseries. I really wanted them to make The Last Full Measure.

For recent movies both Blade Runners and Ghost in the Shell.

Sure do. Lots of them, including:

The Wild Geese
The Final Option aka Who Dares Wins
The Final Count Down
The Philadelphia Experiment
The Keep (Scott Glenn/Gabriel Byrne)
The Challenge (Scott Glenn/Toshiro Mifune)
Soldier  (Ken Wahl movie not the Kurt Russell movie which I also liked, but, did better at the box office).
The Visitor (John Huston/Glenn Ford/Lance Henriksen/Franco Nero/Mel Ferer)
Dawn of the Dead (the best one, the original George Romero movie)
Event Horizon
Rawhead Rex

I don't hate Kevin Costner, but, Waterworld sucked. It was just as boring as The Postman. I liked Costner's Robin Hood movie (can't remember the name) and he was really good in the recent movie "Criminal."

I am sure there are a bunch that I like that did not do well. only other one comes to mind is Serenity. Which is a great film but only geeks seemed to have went to see it.

I gave GITS a good college try, but ScarJo clumping around hunched over like a double-clutching bulldyke was horrible.   The rest of the film was OK, or at least watchable.

You mean Jeff Daniels.  I was an extra in that exceptionally stinky movie.  Jeff Daniels was a pretty good guy but Robert Duvall is a dick in real life.  C. Thomas Howell OTOH is so friendly and laid back you could very easily see yourself having a beer with him.

Oh, and the kids who played the Confederates were throwing rocks at each other.  They had to stop the filming to yell at them.

I don’t know enough about box office success on many of my favorites, so nothing really to add, but many mentioned here are among my favorites - especially The Thirteenth Warrior. I saw that one for the first time at Camp Doha, Kuwait. Never realized it was considered a bomb.

Interesting to see the the divided reaction to a movie like The Postman, but I guess I can see where the central theme is offensive to the “burn it all down” types.

The A-Team (2010)

Perfect casting.  Bradley Cooper IS Face Man and Copley as Murdoch was outstanding. Even Rampage nailed it as B. A.

It didn't take itself too seriously but had great action and only a slightly convoluted story.

It also made $70 million dollars worldwide in profit but that wasn't enough for a sequel.  But, we got multiple Taken movies.

I think maybe the A-Team was just too macho and didn't have enough SJW bullshit to please Hollywood.

I watch a lot of movies, but I dont know if could answer OPs question- I dont pay attention to what movies do at the box office. I wait until they come out OnDemand, or for a few special movies on my radar, I buy them on 4K blu-ray and watch them at home.
