With the ramping up of production of weapons and munitions that would be too late for China.  The USA and NATO are drastically increasing production.  China's best time to attack is now but they aren't ready.  If they attack we will not be alone in defending Taiwan. Australia, South Korea and Japan are all gearing up in preparation to take on China.

Everything I've seen says 3-5 years for total production boost.  Meanwhile we're doubling and tripling production and stock piling weapons. If China waits 6 years they're fucked.  The time for them to take Taiwan is now.  But they aren't ready.  They need to arm up and we're drastically increasing our production now.  In 5 years we will be pumping out missiles and ammo.

One of the good things this was has shown is that our production capabilities is to low.  We're fixing that shortcoming.

For the US, there are several future funding  decision points that will need to be made and the last one is in 5 years, so not close to be fully ramped up in 3-5 years.

There are like 3 future funding decisions points to be made to reach that capability, the last one is about 5 years out. Meaning that is aspirational and depends on funding adds yet to be made.

You’re saying China is not ready but 2 Admirals responsible for the AO told Congress otherwise. That’s not even including the Taiwanese foreign minister, CIA or rando Air Force generals. China gets to decide when they want to conduct operations much like Moscow when it invaded Ukraine over pretext of claiming to rescue “Russian speakers persecuted by Kiev and nazis”

? No PACOM says no later than 2027 but even if it were 2027 Taiwan has 4 years to acquire, train for proficiency and employ that weaponry BEFORE April of 2027. I guess everyone is impressed by Ukraine’s performance but learning to effectively operate, command and control and create maintenance structure for weapons isn’t overnight and there’s no Romania or Poland for Taiwan to receive aid, assistance or maintenance from.

I fully expect if war with China comes, all of the European countries begging the US to help in Ukraine will vanish and say it is not their war. It would be a very European thing to do. Only the UK and Poland were very adamant about supporting Ukraine. Some of the Baltic as well, but those could not contribute in any meaningful way. The rest would only do something if the US did it first.

That is part of the reason why I am happy Japan is building up its military.

So why are the munitions continuously escalating into systems we can't afford to lose?

We can't afford to lose 50 old DUTCH F-16's??

This is serioulsy peak clown world. You folks make the DU tards look halfway sane.

I understand you don’t know words so well but F16s are not munitions

Maybe, just maybe you should sit in the corner, shut you mouth for once and be ashamed after you look at the red part. Do YOU understand words? I guess not.

So in your world of preparing for war with China, you would simply cut off all military aid to Ukraine? Am I stating your position accurately or is it more nuanced? If so explain your position.

Better stock up on 1,000,000,000 SPF sunblock because it's coming if this keeps escalating. Back an animal in a corner long enough and it will bite. Everyone knows were these F-16's will come from. Just because they're laundered through a different country doesn't mean we aren't sending them. With wide open borders like we have I'd imagine 9/11 will look like nothing compared to what could happen here. Something something, be careful of a man that has nothing to lose.

So you are worried about a Russian nuclear response but not a Chinese one? Interesting.

I wouldn't say worried, just making an observation. I'm good. Just making a quick comment and leaving this mess. There are no right answers here.

BS.
Nobody is threatening Russia and the Russians can always go back home.
All they’ll lose is some face, but their country will remain the same shithole it is now, nothing will change when they leave Ukraine.

I'm not trying to comment on every-single-UA thread... but THIS is an important observation.

Rooskie FUD campaigns have infected the brains of weak minded Americans on both sides.

We knew this was happening, and few things surprise me, but I was SHOCKED at how the GD of every major gun forum is overflowing with Communist false-narratives designed to discourage Free-World resistance to Neo-Soviet violent expansionism.

Guys who used to love America, and embrace our values and culture, turned straight up ORIENTAL craving for serfdom under an oppressive tyrant like Putin.

They were clearly and not indirectly saying to each other- don't hate the Enemy, hate your fellow American! Legendary warriors picked up some kind of narrative like, I would never encourage anyone to serve in the military so long as my party keeps losing elections.

They were repeating bizarre nonsequitur linkages like, So long as we have a fentanyl crisis, we need to appease the Soviets in all things!

I read once- We should meet with the largest, weakest nation in the East and engage in bilateral negotiations to determine the freedom and fate of former Soviet states and... spoiler alert- push them back behind the Iron Curtain. (I suppose they don't realize that Romania, alone, could completely zero-out the Russian military in 90 days- and they would strike inside Russia)

Every single day, the coffee starts to drip in the Kremlin bright and early, and the Soviets ask themselves, "What can we get away with today that will go right up to the limit, but not provoke an American response?"

It's been going on like this for decades.

The obvious answer is- Fucking NOTHING... Russia is weak, and the only reason we listen to them is Energy.

The penalty for misbehavior is not a tariff on vodka or cutting off their supply of limes either- it's LARGE NUMBERS of Rooskie KIA, every day, with only one way to make it stop.

F-16s are on the way- Rooskies can expect improved daily totals soon- in all categories.

It's only going to get worse, and worse, and worse... until either Russian withdrawal, or collapse and fragmentation.

Russia's capabilities have been greatly reduced by Ukraine. It'll probably take them a decade or more to rearm if the war stopped today.  They'll lost an incredible amount of equipment and man power.  Their top units have been decimated.

So why are the munitions continuously escalating into systems we can't afford to lose?

I’m amazed at the hubris of people who don’t know what they don’t even know, trying to explain to people who have lived this their entire life.

If anyone should be ashamed, you definitely are the top of that list

I said repeatedly supplying Ukraine has created a capability gap, and that gap will not be closed anywhere near the supposed Davidson window closes.

And if you have to Google the Davidson window you fall into a group of you don’t know what you don’t know
