Thanks for that. I was thinking that the problems originally noted were more than just reticle shift, but that's all the is being talked about here for the last however many weeks. "Yeah, I'll never shoot in -40 degrees, so why do I care?" Well, it's because they admitted to having more inherent design issues than just the temperature POA/POI shift...as noted above. So of all the Eotechs sent in for refunds and all the confirmation emails we've posted, only one guy has gotten an actual email saying his check is on the way?

Well, Bye!! Being shipped off tomorrow or Wednesday. They approved the EXPS3-4 and G23 combo for a refund ($1,180). That means I can get a T-2 with mount from Larue for my SBR build and the 16" these came off of will probably get some kind of Vortex 1-4 or something. Return my optics back because they could not verify that there was anything wrong. It is a win/win situation any way you look at it, with zero risk involved. |

At least you guys will get the email. My email account was deleted shortly after they received mine in the mail. I am completely in the dark. I tried to change the email account associated with my return but im sure they just ignored it as a status update on getting a check. I should try calling, but good luck finding time during business hours.... If i can even get through.

Quoted: I own 3 eotechs and only sent 1 back. My xps-2 is the only one that was just never right. Couldn't hold zero. My other two have been fine, 1 drains batteries if I leave it connected, so I loosen the battery door when stored I trust the other two, it has never given me any reason not to trust them View Quote It doesn't take rocket science to build a good reliable red dot or prism sight with low weight. Also the 1-x scope have came up in options and down in price. I think Eotech was successful in their run. Getting hit now that their true specs are coming to light but still selling them on curtails. I would venture to say that they had a year or so before obsolescence with their marketed specs holding true-just a product life cycle of (an impressive) 20 years ending a year or two earlier than it could have to them. |

I have a 512 I bought several years ago off of the EE. The serial # sticker has fallen off, but it has the man. date sticker of 2007 still intact. What do you do if no serial is present/

Did anyone wait longer than 3 days to receive a follow up email after filling out the Authorization request form? I filled it out on the 20th and haven't received anything via email yet. I read somewhere this first step of the process they were very quick to respond.
Edit: Reason for asking is I requested refund of $480 which is what I payed in 2012 but what I forgot is it came with a cover(512) and I think extra batteries or something. So MSRP is $460 and that is what I should have put. Hoping they don't simply auto reject dumb-asses like me asking for more than MSRP. |

Fedex tracking numbers are 12 digits long... international shipping tracking number is more than 12 digits.
BUT... why would they use Fedex to send a check, when USPS would be cheaper??? |

I just had to resend my response to EOTech since they haven't responded to my Dec 11th email. They emailed me asking if I knew where I purchased the EOTech and if I had the receipt. I emailed them that it was purchased online (couldn't remember the store) while deployed to Afghanistan in 2007 and I didn't have a receipt or email. Figured I'd get a confirmation email after that was sent, but nothing so I'm resending another email. I'm not planning on seeing a check anytime this year if I even get a check, haha!
