Quoted: The water belongs to the people of China, we shall liberate it from the evil water hoarding dam and distribute it to the masses View Quote I do not understand GD's continual jerking off to fantasying about destroying a dam! 3GD is probably on page 2 or 3 of the SIOP. In a nuclear war, just like a gun fight, you take out the most dangerous opponent first. For China that means: ICBMs, Nuclear capable aircraft, all their submarines, C&C centers while keeping a reserve in case NK, Russia or Iran get froggy. Then, you start on counter value targets like population centers and damns. |

Quoted: It's still amazing to me how these things fly so well without vertical stabilizers/rudders. View Quote Stability augmentation software in the fly-by-wire control system. I've flown RC models of similar shapes, and the lack of vertical surfaces (without stability augmentation) causes a very slight yawing motion at higher speeds, with the yawing increasing as speed is reduced, until the plane does something resembling an intentional stall-spin at low speed. The slight yawing motion in normal flight was apparently one of the arguments given for cancelling the B-49, as it would supposedly interfere with targeting with the bombs that were used at the time. |

Quoted: I like the sky grey color, bet it’s cooler also. View Quote "Air superiority gray", and I'm not kidding. It is smaller than a B-2, and the B-2 isn't very big to begin with. I did see one that looked HUGE for a minute or two..I've written about it a couple of times in the past. Another chief and I got lost in the dark on the far side of Nellis' ramp, where they'd parked our MH-53s, and I came very, very close to running a pickup truck into a B-2 taxing into parking. Aircraft never even slowed, I'm fairly certain he never saw us driving with just marker lights. I still have a little ringing in my right ear from Chief S. screaming at me to brake. Wingspan comparison: B-52 = 185'...B-2 = 172'...B-21 estimated to be 132' |

Sure it could be bullshit but I doubt anything such as that would be published policy, same goes for the Chinese and the Dam. Seems kind of silly to telegraph what you may/may not do. Fact is China has been trying to figure out a way to kill our carriers for some time, they claim they can. No doubt an all out shooting war with China would be very bad for both countries. |
