I am fond of the USP9 and 45 tactical.

even though HK hates me and I suck.

LOLWUT?

Had a USP .40 for years. I would never have said that it had a particularly good trigger.

People complain about it being proprietary, but I believe HK made the rail before the 1913 existed. Or at least, way before it went popular.
Yes, same as with the original SigPro.

Not a usp, but based off of it.

I had a USPc in 9mm a while back.  I thought it was a VERY nice gun.  The only thing I was not a fan of was the magazine release. That was definitely a "to each his own" thing though.

It funny I was just thinking about getting another one recently.  Don't get me wrong, I like my Glock(s), but there's just something about an H&K.

I try not to fanboy but I have an affinity for HK pistols.

The USP .45, particularly the Tactical, is awesome. If you don't concern yourself with suppressors, get an Expert. The match trigger is a worthwhile upgrade in any fullsize USP.

The trigger is awesome, literally. I am in awe of it. Recoil is no problem. Accuracy is laser like.

I'm partial to the double/single action pistols but berettas are too big for me to, and let me emphasize here, really feel comfortable with them. Although I think they're decent.

Sigs are decent too, but there's just something about H&K.

I thought I had enough guns. I sure as shit don't need anymore. I had almost lost interest in shooting.

USP made shooting fun again.

Try a USP Tactical (suppressed).  It's literally about the only .45 on the planet you will ever want/need afterwards.  Although the FN .45 Tactical is pretty badass---the trigger in the USP Tactical is the cat's ass!

I own both the USP tactical and FN tactical, I prefer to shoot the USP. And I'm more accurate with it. The FN carries more rounds, comes with co-witness tall sights, red dot capabilities, and a better DA trigger.  But none of that matters when my USP tact drives all the rounds through the same hole all day.

I think Streamlight calls it a "rail key" and the standard light packages don't include the USP or USPc versions - you can get a package which does or you can get the "rail keys" separately.  I found a deal a couple years back on TLR-4G with USP keys and then bought the "missing" rail keys separately so I'd have the full sets.  None of those fit the Mark 23 though - at least without an ugly-ass adapter to Picatinny

USP .45 and .40 Tactical owner here.

If size is unimportant (he he), they are the best pistols available.

The .40 is particularly awesome when wearing the .45s Ti-rant .45 suppressor. 180 gr .40 is naturally subsonic.

It was my first "real" gun.  My family never had firearms and I was a typical poor retail box store employee.  I had to sneak my way into guns.

First gun: Marlin 60.
2nd, 3rd & 4th (can't remember the order): Taurus 44 8" barrel (cool looking), Desert Eagle (cool looking), Jennings/Bryco 9mm (cause it was $130 new from a friend, LOL)

5th: God bless Galyan's and their no interest credit card and 10% off for signing up.  Still have the receipt somewhere for around $750 for my USP45.  Ended up with an early GG&G adapter and a Streamlight M6.  Trijicon sights rounded it out.  Need to replace the lens on the M6, since I was not keen on cleaning as often after shooting like you are supposed to be.

Have a friend that bought his USP from his gun guy neighbor.  Had the same light adapter on it.  He kept having issues with the slide not going fully back forward after chambering a round.  He shot even less than I did, so getting him to be able to test theories was difficult.  He'd finally had enough several years back and we sat down with both pistols and started swapping parts.  Just felt like the slide was hanging up a hair.  Even with my slide on his frame.  Finally decided to take the GG&G adapter off.  Problem solved.  Previous owner, who was a smart, knowledgeable FFL, had tightened up the adapter screws just a hair too much.  Easy to do.  The next time we went shooting, I filmed it.  To see the look of joy on his face being able to mag dump it without issue, was priceless.

Need to send my slide in to Trijicon and have the sights replaced.

Kiddo has USP Compact in 9mm. Did a little trimming on the rail so it can take standard anything. Smooth as snot, hit where it's aimed, great trigger.

Other kiddo has M11-A1 in Army green, crazy great as well (with matching P938 in Army green

Damn, there's a lot of parts in those HKs, but bad-to-the-bone every time!

I first learned of the USP from reading a gun magazine in the mid 1990's. They shot 1000 rounds out of the pistol for the article. I believe it was the 40 S&W version.

I always had an interest in the USP and finally picked up a USP 45 last week. I shot it today for the first time. It shoots quite nice, I had 4 out of 5 shots touching each other at 20 yards once I got used to the trigger.

Never liked the gun since I handled it in the early 90's and I've shot most variants and calibers including dual wielding suppressed Mk23's. Iast one I handled was a friend's 9mm Tactical that I found for him for $700 with the soft side case and 5 mags. Just no interest in a brick that sounds like a box of legos.

I was into HK big league when I first started with guns about 17 years ago. Over time the negatives; trigger, capacity for size, pushed me to Glocks. Cool pistols, but too many compromises to bring me back.
