I rang this bell a year and a half ago. Mila will ring one like it soon! |

Quoted: Hi everyone, This is Mila's mom Jenna. Thank you doesn't seem enough to express my gratitude for the overwhelming support you ALL have shown our Family. I can't thank you enough. As you can imagine having a daughter diagnosed with cancer flips your world upside down. One day you enjoying life with your children and the next you're spending weeks in the hospital watching helplessly as your daughter endures these potent chemo meds and praying they work. The stress hasn't let up one bit since diagnosis 7 weeks ago - from hospital stays, appts, deciding surgery options, trying to find balance for your other child when you're gone 5 days a week, and of course the huge financial impact. By generously easing the financial burden this diagnosis has taken on our family you are all allowing us to put all of our focus on just caring for Mila and Niko. I have watched (and sometimes had to tolerate) my husband being a member of this unbelievable community for 10 years now. I won't lie, I wasn't thrilled when he went to Virginia a couple of years ago but I understand now why he was compelled to do it. We have met and made some lifelong friends on here and its obvious to me now why he felt so strongly about being there to support the other members. Arfcom continues to be be a big part of our lives and we are fortunate to be involved with such an exceptional group of individuals! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Ps. I still don't understand my husband's obsession with crabmeat and model trains. He just laughs hysterically when I ask him to explain it to me. But I do know one thing....... that chili has beans in it. Jenna View Quote Pure class. Prayers for Mila. She's going to be great! |

It sure is dusty. Sent and praying for her, no kid should have to deal with this. And no parents should have to watch. FC

Hit. Bump. No dogs though. Continuing to pray for Mila and the family and hopeful for a successful outcome.

Good evening all.
I just posted an update on the GFM home page. If you have donated you should be receiving an email. Please take a moment to read it. It is a message from George and family. Along with them, I and the others behind the scenes want to thank everyone who has participated in either thread and in the fund raiser. It's been humbling to see such an outpouring of support for Mila and Niko. From the members here who have shared personal details of their own battles with cancer, those who have lost loved ones, those engaged in the ongoing war... to those of us that have nothing else to give but money, dog pics and empathy... it is all so important. I'm asking each of you to remember what it was like to be 8, and then imagine what this would have looked like to you. Could you even imagine it? The wonder, the mystery... why Mom and Dad might be sobbing with joy and relief. This is what we did in a little over a day. Simply amazing. |
