Love my PSA but the upper and lower match. They had issues with the bolt bottoming out against collapsible buffer tubes but I wanted retro A1 so no problem.
Thought I had done due diligence but didn’t realize proper carry handles were so rare. Lost out on a KAC handle on gunbroker years ago with a bid of $375 or so. Still have a stupid plastic buis all by itself on there looking goofy. |
|
I wish I had gone DPMS G2. I did a MATEN cause I got a deal on a complete lower and stripped upper from the EE. It was an abandoned build.
It shoots ok. |

So what you are saying is you did zero research and tried to build a piecemeal large frame AR with the cheapest parts you could find, and want to blame anyone else but yourself for the shitshow you created.
Gotcha. |

I knew the ar10 is not an ar10 comment would come up. Point still stands. I'm not trying to put a dpms pattern upper in an armalite pattern lower.
Lack of knowledge on my part is a valid point. This is my first build. But damn proprietary roll pin for the bolt hold open? C'mon man. |

But to me, ar15, 1911, ar10, are just common surface level ways to refer to a wide range of different firearm types. A 1911 can be in a variety of different calibers but we refer to all of them as 1911's. A lot of people even refer to double stack 1911's as 1911's instead of 2011's which is really just one company's thing. Most people would refer to a piston ar15 chambered in 6.5 Grendel as an ar15. Even though it's obviously different than a DI 5.56 ar15. It's fast and easy terminology. Now if you're going to actually put together a firearm you should go deeper and make sure everything is compatible. Not everyone will agree with me but that's my way of looking at it. I even call my Galil an AK. /shrug. |

My eagle arms ar10b 20" is a 1moa rifle with decent factory ammo, custom loads and a steady shooter can easily tighten it up even more. Its a heavy sumbitch but ill never sell it(too much invested in mags)

OP thinks that AR15 parts are all compatible with DPMS large frame 308 ARs.

stop, I want an LMT MWS, but I don't have 3 grand for that crap.
I need to get my hands back on my old PTR91 and set that up for suppressed; should be a fun ride. |

This seems like SFAR propaganda. Kind of like how Disney ran fish fact bumpers before Finding Nemo came out.

It is literally all DPMS's fault. They killed the KAC standards and broke the market.

Quoted: It is literally all DPMS's fault. They killed the KAC standards and broke the market. View Quote I disagree. When you know going in that you are going to make more than the rest combined you make what you think will work for you. Had they not been bought out and destroyed by the money men they’d still be the standard. PSA is basically in that position now so they are going to make what they want. If they do enough they will become the new standard. Will the small frame guns gaining traction we are going to see more standards there. |

Both of my Larue's are awesome. So is the Aero that I built. Maybe it's your build that sucks Democrat nuts.
I did do a bunch of research though. |
