Buy 3" version when you find it and then have 3 guns rather than 2
of course, but I can't find one all that easy, and they go for big bucks.
I think I can cut and crown it myself with hand tools. dovetailing in a front sight is what's beyond me. |

This one was from eBay. I'm not sure what it's supposed to go to. Maybe a mountain gun. It's tight on the m19 but on the barrel. The cylinder has some play. I'm almost done waiting on the same holster for my m64. |

Quoted: Recently had Dad's old Hi-Standard rejuvenated because the finish was pretty rough. It's an R-101 and has been in the family for about 65 years. It still locks up tight and shoots 9 shots of .22lr well. I remember seeing it in with Dad's gun stuff when I was three years old and later, I took a few rabbits and squirrels with it as well. Lots of sentimental value attached to this early Sentinel. The local gunsmith did a great job (he's a certified Cerakote applicator) and I am thrilled with the result. Like to think the ol' man would approve if he were alive to see it, too. It's not a rare, high dollar, collectable so...life's too short to have an ugly gun. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/30364/IMG_20220424_100415689_jpg-2370570.JPG View Quote That rascal looks GREAT! |
