If it can be fired while inside the wallet holster, then, yes, it is an AOW. Yep, several things became AOW after the 1994 Crime Bill. It was up to the owner to register. Before, pen guns were common items sold at gun shows. |

Quoted: I’m not a revolver guy and had only shot one once. But for some reason decided I needed one so I snagged a Taurus 66 on GunAuction for like $400. Seemed dirt cheap for revolvers these days to see if I liked them. Holy shit this thing is a blast to shoot. Smooth as silk with .38 and a lot of fun with .357. Next will be an S&W 44 of some flavor I think https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/237039/A403050F-D694-42CD-80F3-1E9DDBD73EF0_jpe-2232574.JPG View Quote For a 44 Mag, take a hard look at the Colt Anaconda. It is actually nicer to shoot, even with full house loads, than my FIL Ruger 357 Speed Six with wood grips. the revolver came as-is. I suppose I need a key for the stupid lock, just in case it I need to unlock it for some reason. |

down here in Florida, it's unlikely that I'll pocket carry anything other than a slim P32. I'll never wear a coat or jacket, so it's gym shorts pocket carry.
I might carry the revolver in an appendix holster though |

I’ve always thought those High Standards look cool, but have never fired one. That one has to go to the gunsmith. When I was dry firing it, the cylinder would rotate just fine eight times, but would lock up on the ninth, every time. I watched a YouTube video on disassembly and decided I'd take it apart and clean it. To remove the cylinder, you depress a detent and spring on the front of the frame. Then, there are two pins you punch out. The ONLY screw in the gun is the grip screw. I was able to get the detent depressed, the cylinder removed, and the detent and spring removed. Then, I got the grips off. I got one pin punched out, but couldn't remove the other. So, I decided to reassemble and take it to a smith. I got the pin back in place and the grips back on the gun, but the detent and spring and stuck in the depressed position and I can't get the cylinder back on the gun. Hopefully, the smith will have an easier time getting it back together. The detent spring was slightly bent, so I think it may need to be replaced. |

When I cut the frame from square to round I bought then because they were the cheapest grips I could find and I just them for a template. But I still haven't taken them off - I like em. |

I saw one that is held on by a frame screw rather than replacing the grip. I plan to keep those red grips, they look sharp and fit my hand perfectly.
