We often decry the usual scenario where a dirtbag defendant is the best case for pushing for our rights back.
Here we have a former SFOD-D lifer amd camcer survivor who jumped through legal hoops to acquire an FFL and SOT and file paperwork but apparently didn't 'demo' them correctly. Seems like a pretty sympathetic defendant to push back on the administrative overreach of Federal firearms laws. |

Can a Veteran Receive Retired Military Pay While in Prison?
Generally, yes. Being convicted of a crime almost never jeopardizes a federal pension – the rare exception to this rule are charges relating to criminal disloyalty to the United States: espionage, treason, sabotage, etc VA Disability Compensation VA disability payments will be reduced beginning with the 61st day of imprisonment for a felony. Those receiving disability at the 10% rate will see their rate cut in half while incarcerated. Anyone receiving a monthly VA disability payments for a disability rating of 20% or more will see the monthly payment drop to the 10% rate while incarcerated. |

1) Fuck the law, its fake n gay. Due to my highly famous internet persona (sarcasm) I obviously follow all provisions of the NFA but support and encourage civil disobedience to unjust and unconstitutional laws wherever possible.
2) Don't fucking be friends with cops. Don't have anything to do with them, don't associate with them. Ever. If you have family that are cops, don't discuss any of item number 1 with them, no matter how "cool" they are. Because people get pretty fucking uncool when they get offered plea deals and they're staring down the barrel of losing their job and their wife leaving them & taking the kids because they're in jail for 5-10 years. If this means you don't get to get cool Hekla und Cock mashinengewers, guess what? You're like 99.999% of Americans. 3) America is shithole country that hates you and anyone who thinks like you and has a similar lifestyle and outlook as you. You live in an apartheid state that hates you and can't wait until people like you decline in numbers until there's no popular objection to just fucking killing you and your family. Don't ever forget that. Have more babies than they do and raise them to do the same. That means loving your kids and being active in their lives, not just being an abusive absentee hardass. In 5 generations the problem will be fixed without anyone even having to put on a ruck, let alone fire a shot in anger. Stop worrying about your standard of living and just have kids. |

If you are going to do sketchy shit with machine guns don't commit fraud or conspiracy while doing it, it really complicates the defense.

So the crime was not doing the demos. Big whoop. The punishment should be now they have to do the demos with interest. "Now the demo has to be 3 hours, instead of 2!"

Quoted: Bruen decided basically that the NFA is unconstitutional. And the recent Benitez's ruling just reaffirmed this. So I'd fight this all the way up. BTW .Where is the NRA? View Quote Fighting this case based on Bruen is a bad idea. No way the government doesn't "get their man". We have a chance to prevail on SBRs with the brace case. But getting MGs off the registry will NEVER happen in our lifetime in this political environment. The courts will write a decision that seals this in stone forever if you force them to decide between ruining this guy's life or abolishing the NFA. Yes the "crimes" he was charged with are unconstitutional, absolutely. But he should have known better and done a more calculated risk/reward assessment. I know plenty of "staunch 2A supporters" and lifetime gun owners who think machineguns are "weapons of war" and too powerful to trust in the hands of average Americans. There are WAY more people that think this way than there are people like us who want MGs with no paperwork and Prime 2 day shipping. And that includes the courts as well. |

View Quote As others have pointed out, a guilty plea doesn't mean as much as it used to. The process is the punishment: You either cop to the charges or they will ruin you financially pursuing them. Vickers is old and most likely still sick. He's probably just tired of the whole thing and wants it to stop. No one can say for sure that he isn't culpable for something, but I'd bet it's 1/10th what they are accusing him of. |

Quoted: Says Vickers pleaded guilty FATF Edit: In addition to the indictment, Larry Vickers pleaded guilty yesterday to participating in the conspiracy to import and obtain machineguns and other restricted firearms and admitted that he received some of the imported machineguns and other weapons. As detailed in his plea agreement, Vickers kept some of the machineguns and other restricted weapons in his personal collection and transferred other machineguns and restricted weapons to other FFLs and third parties. Vickers also pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to violate U.S. sanctions against a foreign firearms manufacturer between July 2014 and March 2021, in the Southern District of Florida. Vickers faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison for conspiracy to violate federal law regulating firearms and a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. U.S. District Judge Julie R. Rubin has not yet scheduled sentencing for Vickers. Not guilty... ...FUCK the batfe |

Everybody did it.
That is how the HK416s got in. SOTs would order two, do some demos and keep one in their inventory and let the other one go but sell the upper. I know one SOT who did it multiple times down in Arizona and another in Oregon. They got away but gave up their SOT's. They still have those cool 416s but still. |

Absolute total bullshit. He did nothing wrong at all. He followed FATF's bullshit rules by getting a Demo letter from LE.
Whiny faggots at FATF decided that wasn't good enough and got some shit for brains Federal Prosecutor (fuck be apon their names) to file charges. A guilty plea is meaningless - in lawfare the Feds will do everything possible to bankrupt you into a guilty plea. |

Quoted: I don't think he was trying, if I'm not mistaken Larry had something to do with bringing in the "MAC" SVDs via Hungry. View Quote Hello, I think I have information that pertains to this. While I've been advised not to speak on this matter I'm dying and really dont give a flying fuck anymore. I purchased an AK-12 built off one of the imported kits by one of the Gentlemen indicted and was paid a very heavy handed visit by the ATF, IRS, and DHS last week over it. Everything I owned was papered and legal and I've never been an FFL or had any previous trouble in life. They seized everything I had and advised me that an indictment would possibly be coming my way for possession of the AK-12 as it's import is evidence that sanctions have been violated and that it didn't matter that the rifle was imported as a kit and remanufactured here that the act of importation of the kit and possession of it there in of it's self is illegal. Parts count, semi-automatic, nothing mattered except the origin of the original parts left on the rifle which weren't many. I asked about all the other people who purchased these kits and was told that the BATFE, IRS-CI, and DHS would be tracking down and retrieving any kit or built rifle in the country and possibly charging the owners. I asked them how they figured out that I even had one and was told that FINCEN is alerting on large gun purchases now and the banks and Gunbroker are assisting the federal agencies involved in finding these weapons. Beware what you buy kids even if the seller says it's legal. I'm going to sue the shit out of the dealer I bought this from as it was represented as a legal to possess firearm. |
