Are your gloves fingerless or do you have to take them off to use the app?

Why not just use a fingerprint scanner? Seems like it would be more accurate.

Maybe so but it's really helpful. For example if some guy says he's not a cop, you don't know if he's telling the truth or if he's a lying sack of manure. Yeah.... I'm no fan of facial recognition. just one more step toward a police state.
I recently read an article about ways of checking people for being predisposed to committing crime... We are willfully giving up what our forefathers created for us. Both sides. The Progs. wish to shred the constitution and favor communism. While the right seems to want Orwellian security. Sorry Bama, I know your job is hard. And I am not getting down on you per say, but use of this tech, IMO, spits in the face of our founders. I couldn't use it out of principle. |

Traffic stop of blatantly suspicious vehicle and occupants. Driver has no ID's. Run all his bullshit info. No joy. I know he is lying. Some stuff, new App, take his pic, run app, score some sheriff dept booking photos. It's him. Warrants, high score on being a shit bag, make arrest. View Quote |

If I tell you I'm "Rando McRando" and my birthday is obviously 20 years too young for me, what do you do? Obviously you try to get the real info, but if I insist I'm Mr. McRando and you can't find me in your computer, what do you do? Would you eventually release me if I hadn't otherwise committed an arrestable offense? Probably can't force prints on a traffic stop, do they even have portable ones? View Quote I know for a fact that you can get a viable iris scan off of a dead guy as long as he's only been dead for about an hour. Sometimes you have to put a little water on the eyeball though. |

Quoted: You did read the part where the driver had already broken the law, correct? Driving without proof of license is certainly probable cause for checking the identity of said driver to see if they are committing other crimes, such as driving on a suspended or revoked license, or in this case active warrants.
