Humans are the only ones who kill for fun. View Quote Hardly. Wolves do so routinely, as well as cats. Many predators, perhaps most, will kill far in excess of what they eat. I have no issue with it. Had it been a feral yute, half of Arfcom would be cheerin right now. I routinely shoot feral cats that come up in my yard or the woods around my yard with thermal vision and suppressed 300 blackout. If I caught one in my house, I'd beat it to death with something rather than shoot my house up. Now, a feral yute, I'd blaze away. YMMV. How do you identify feral cats at night with thermal vision? I guess any cat that enters your property is feral? Ever shot one that had a collar? Generally, you can ID a cat as feral when you can't get close enough to it to spray it in the face with bleach and beat it to death with a hockey stick. I'd wager the shitbag lured the cats into his basement. I'd also wager that many posters in the thread would do exactly the same thing. |

i like cats and i may end up with one or a small dog as its less gay for a single guy to have a dog.
that being said there are 4 or so cats in the neighbor hood that wont make it to Easter. still working inside the house spring when i go outside they will get to go to the big litterbox in the sky and stop using my mulch as one. plus my car is not a scratching post or a cat tree. |

It was, probably, close to 100 years old when we moved in. We didn't have air conditioning, so we would put windows screens in our windows, during summer, to get air circulating to cool the house down, along with window fans. I had an outdoor cat that could jump up from our back deck on to the window sill, in our kitchen, and slide the screen over and would come in at night to sleep on the bed in our spare bedroom. This happened a couple of times, until my parent figured out how he was getting in. I've known people with nice, new houses, that have gotten birds, snakes, and other "critters" inside their house. Racoons and squirrels are also very good at getting into attics. Shit happens. It isn't always a reflection on the structure or the people. I think that animals, cats definitely included, can exploit entryways that people may not know or think about. You don't have to live in a dilapidated house for animals to get inside. I've also seen cats open screen doors MANY times. So, to answer your question, I don't necessarily judge people based on if a critter gets into their house. I would expect most fair minded people to take this approach as well. I can also tell you that, if an unknown animal gets in to my house, it's fair game. I will, probably, try to get it out, if I can do so without endangering myself or my family/animals. If not, oh well. It also won't last long as a repeat offender. If it endangers my family or animals, it will be destroyed by any means necessary. Animals are animals. They endanger your property and spread disease. Cats are not immune to this. tl;dr: Shit happens and animals are good at getting in to place. I don't judge others based on an intruding animals. They also pose a significant risk. I will act accordingly if confronted with an animal in my house. |

Can you imagine spraying two cats in the face with bleach.
In your basement. Beating them with hockey sticks was probably self defense. Those cats probably devistated him and his basement, shredding everything. Assuming the guy wasn't properly armed (since he used hockey sticks instead of a Louisville Slugger) He probably had no idea how hard it is to dispatch all nine lives. He probably did as much damage to his home as the little tazmanian devils did. I suspect he thought spraying the cats would teach them a lesson to never return. OR that the bleach alone would kill them. I didn't see where the guy said he used the bleach to blind the cats so they would make better pucks. |

The dog is the physical embodiment of acceptance. Which seems not to provoke psychotic tendencies, as readily as rejection. Yet psychotics are unpredictable if anything so who knows what could set them off, cat hate threads pull them out of the wood work for sure. |

. Feral cats are known to avoid humans. Disneyland "employs" feral cats to kill rodents at night. Disney said the great thing about feral cats is you hardly ever see them, they hide from people. So the guests don't notice anything. So shit like that is a good indication that he killed someone's pets. Not wild cats. Well then that someone should have kept little Fluffy at home--you know, like a responsible pet owner would do. Off the porch is fair game. Every time. Don't like it? Keep the destructive little shits at home. You did read the part that said they were IN HIS HOME, right? Animal cruelty is against the law. So you get what you, when you get caught. So is leaving animals run stray, at least in most locales. Irresponsible pet owners also "get what you, when you get caught." Oh, can you point out where I advocated animal cruelty? I must be having lapses of memory . . . and you did address me directly. |

Hush--there's a line to be maintained. It's a line of bullshit, but the line must be maintained. Now we have the "Ted Bundy" line being promulgated. We are THERE! |
