"Ease of modern investigations into data"? The huge amounts of data involved in large-scale investigations makes these cases harder, not easier...
Naw, they cleared Hillary from all of those thousands upon thousands of e-mails on Weiner's laptop in a couple of days.

Want to try again?
I could do that without my coffee getting cold.  Try again.
But didn't you just use the excuse that all that data takes a long time to look at it.  So which is it?
Nope.  Some tasks are made easier.  Finding duplicates in two data sets when one is already known/hased? Easy.
So how do IT guys end up arresting people?
I'm an "IT guy"?
I'm taking a shot in the dark.  Don't "hase" me bro.

A zillion different subs?  Ok, figure of speech, but with a purpose.   Interesting.

Look, I'm not a low information dude.   I have a bit of a clue how  a criminal investigation works.   Also, a perusal of the structure of this investigation nd the resources at its disposal leads to my informed conclusion.

Perhaps someone look at the "zillions" and your acronyms of authority and buy what you're saying.  But not me based on what I see so far.

At the end of the day, I am prepared to say I was wrong.   But at present my conclusions are reasonble.

Classic liberal.

1.  Claim to be level headed, but throw a tantrum.
2.  Claim to be holy, but lash out in anger.
3.  Double down and make sure everyone hears again just how holy you are.
4.  Ignore how much of a hypocrite 1,2, and 3 make you.

TS and BS thank you.  Their whole office is probably laughing and high fiving over you.

Mueller is grasping at straws now by avoiding any semblance of legal procedure.

Mueller makes reckless move with seizure of Trump transition emails

"Mueller did an end run around Trump transition officials and counsel by seizing tens of thousands of emails from the GSA despite claims of privilege. The move was legally unprecedented and strategically reckless."

"the blunt-force approach taken toward the GSA is something of a signature of Mueller and his heavy-handed associates like Andrew Weissmann."

"Mueller has a controversial record in attacking attorney-client privilege as well as harsh tactics against targets. As a U.S. attorney, he was accused of bugging an attorney-client conversation, and as special counsel he forced (with the approval of a federal judge) the attorney of Paul Manafort to become a witness against her own client. Weissmann’s record is even more controversial, including major reversals in past prosecutions for exceeding the scope of the criminal code or questionable ethical conduct."

"The question is why Mueller would take the risk."
View Quote
Why would Mueller take the risk?

Because his future and the people he represents future's are at stake.

Not going to look good when people start to catch wind of what was really going on with Hillary and past Presidents providing nuclear materials to the Russians, right around the time Putin found out a lot of Russia's nuclear stockpiles were defunct, especially when Mueller literally personally delivered enriched Uranium samples under the guise of "combating" proliferation, when in reality they were continuing a multi-generational weapons-grade material supply and enrichment analysis to the Soviets.

We were penetrated so fully decades ago by communist agents, all the way up into State, Defense Department, OSS-CIA, NSA, Congress, the propaganda outlets parading themselves as journalists and private media corporations, and universities.  It's not paranoia when you learn that they were fully inside the Manhattan Project, that they had gatekeepers throughout the WH, Congress, DoD, State, and later departments of Energy, Commerce, Education, EPA, OSHA, and Interior, and your kids come home talking about how great communism is.

When you understand the true nature of how thoroughly our institutions of government were penetrated, it only makes sense that foreign governments who are permanent members of the UN Security Council would rely on continual technical support from the greatest industrialized power in the world, particularly after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the brain drain Russia experienced in the 1990s.

The center of gravity of the communist movement had already shifted to the US well before the fall of the Soviet Union, which was never going to be able to sustain the logistics and information propagation on a global scale.  Nobody can afford to temporarily finance socialism like the US does.  Illegal immigrants who don't speak a lick of English are entitled to and have better access to healthcare in the US than the ministers of parliament in any nation on earth, just as one example.  Free dental too under Medicare/Medicaid, complete with treatments most of us have never heard of and never had growing up.  Meanwhile, Prince Charles cavorts with Camilla and her mangled yellowish-brown horse teeth....lol!  Royalty of the greatest empire that ever ruled the seas (before us) can't even get their mistresses' fangs straightened, while little 4yr-old Maria gets free cleanings every 6 months, braces, dental implants, polishing, sealants, the works.

Then look at some of the pathetic scumbag morons we have in our own investigative agencies.  They really believe socialism is the best political-economic model from which to build a nation, to the extent that they double-down on it, having never read Marx, but were thoroughly indoctrinated and can't be shown any different.  Along comes an American President who says, "Let's focus on our own Country first.", and they go after him like he's Hitler, not knowing that Hitler shared their same ideology of socialism.

Really?  No one cares.  Nor is your tribe affiliation important to the subject of this thread.  Nor is anyone else's tribe affiliation

You know what is relevant?  That so far the Trump colluding with the Russians story looks like complete bullshit.

Also, the people who were in government between 1998 and 2015 are investigating him.  Without success.

You know, the people who cannot account for 23 trillion dollars.
We have people making plea deals and a long way to go.

It's premature to declare it "Bullshit."
So how long are we supposed to wait until this "investigation" has matured to not declare it bullshit?  With as much paperwork, legalities, and what have you that most of these "players" go through on a daily basis, jamming Flynn up on what they did is the equivalent of getting you on a speeding violation or failure to come to a complete stop.  Surely you've never sped before, in your lifetime, right?  And if you have, you would surely tell us EXACTLY the time and place it occurred, right? B/C if you can't give us the exact details or don't remember, you're lying, and that's a crime also.
It took a couple years before people started getting indicted for Watergate. This seems to be moving much more rapidly.
And I would venture a guess that information spreads and is obtained much quicker in 2017 than 1972.  And by moving much more rapidly, it seems like they really aren't getting anywhere, quick.
And we're back to wishcasting...
"Wishcasting" is a very good description of this whole 'investigation'.

Watergate was never revealed in full, and those involved that are still alive are still under gag order never to discuss it.

Deep Throat was Deputy Director of the.......FBI, passed over by Nixon for the Director job in favor of someone else.

The Plumber crew was searching for something, while apparently wiretapping DNC phones for illegal activities that they are still not allowed to discuss in 2017.  Why?

8 months since the FISA warrants?

More like well over a year when the bogus FISA warrants were issued for members of the Trump Campaign by the corrupt gaggle of traitors in the last illegitimate White House.

What does it feel like to promote the lies of traitors agains your own Country?

Forget all the partisanship for a few days and let this sink in.

You had a WH, DOJ, and FBI colluding with the campaign of one of the candidates to fabricate piss dossiers against one of the other candidates after the nominees were selected.   What kind of American would support that undermining of the Democratic process?  Not a real American, but a communist would all day, every day.  A soulless savage vermin would support such activity.

The Plumber crew was searching for something, while apparently wiretapping DNC phones for illegal activities that they are still not allowed to discuss in 2017.  Why?
But that's where Hillary FHRC got her start and the first time she got fired, right? For lying, correct?
She was working on the Democrat Impeachment Committee that had formed with the task of impeaching Nixon.

She was so horrible, that the lead Congressman of that Committee fired her because she was going to insist that Nixon not be allowed his right to legal representation.

Nixon resigned before it ever got to impeachment because he would have been impeached.

This is a thread about the paucity of the investigation by the former FBI director who is investigating a president who wasn't part of government between 1998 and 2015.   Said former FBI director was.

During that time 21 TRILLION dollars went unaccounted for.   No known investigation for or concerning said expenditures.

This suggests a possible motive to attack a person with authority to investigate said irregularities, and someone who doesn't have any skin in that game.

The national debt closely tracks the unaccounted for trillions.  Interesting corolation.

Is there a thread to talk about the national debt? I'd like to post some Mueller Investigation updates there...

No offense but that seems like a bit of a stretch.  Could one start posting 9/11 Truther conspiracies in this thread as long as we blame Mueller?  He was FBI Director at the time and the same logic applies...

Whats the stretch?

High levels of government being involved with corruption and criminal activity? I thought we all already knew that to be true. That's why this Mueller witch hunt is taking place. To protect the deep state. Did you really think there was another reason? You think they are really just trying to find collusion between Trump and Russia?

FISA warrants for Page and Manafort came well before they were on the Trump campaign. Were those bogus as well?

He appears to be operating under the assumption that the FISA warrants issued last year were only due to the dossier. If Trump had surrounded himself with people who already had FISA warrants for other matters prior to joining his campaign, it's doubtful that the later FISA warrants were based off the dossier alone.

Also: What other FISA warrants have been reported other than those two?  Flynn doesn't count - he was picked up talking direct to the Russian ambassador like a moron...

After he was ordered to, during the transition, correct? (Along with many other nations) Or do I have that mistaken.  Honestly, not trying to be witty.

In his defense, I believe he stated that he was a law enforcement computer expert, and most here just assumed he was a normal IT guy that needed a bath.

I'd probably shy away from going down the "He was ordered" route if I were you - but yes the Flynn communications were post-election / pre-Administration.  His lie to the FBI was right after he took office.

ETA: HIs lie during the interview.  His FARA violations (which were rolled into the 1001 charge) involved work pre-election...

I'd shy away from a lot of what you're posting, honestly.  And you didn't touch on him contacting other nations actors also...

The other dude inexplicably didn't know he would be recorded talking to a Russian ambassador.  That, btw makes no sense given his published background.  YMMV.

Reading all those catchy and slandering headlines really start affecting the way you tend to write.  Such buzzwords and overdramatizing become part of every day posting after a while.

So why don't we talk about the Russian connections with the FBI?
How was McCabe intertwined with Fusion GPS, the Russian attorney (implicating DJT jr), and Russian money?
