I loved the Mitsu/Chryslers like that.
My neighbor growing up had a CelicaSupra like that.  It was tough looking.
My Mum bought a GrandPrix like that new in 1991.  We were the coolest family on the block for little while.  Hers was red.

1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider

I had two of these; a red one and a yellow one. Thrashed them mercilessly, and they just kept on coming back for more. Neither succumbed to mechanical failure, but both died from Ohio salt poisoning. There's something wonderful about a small-displacement vehicle which you can run at ten-tenths on the street without getting into three-digit speeds. Kind of like flogging a 350-cc motorcycle as opposed to a one-liter superbike. Lots of fun!

I had a few friends in high school that loved beretta. Weird but they had a following.

Knew somebody who had an ultra low mile Indy pace car Beretta.

Mine is the humble toyota pickup from the 1980s.
I currently have 3 of them.

My
Volvo.  Boxy, but good.

I do agree on the reliability and safety of the Volvo 200

Buddy had one in the army. It was a machine.  Could have used a turbo....

Yes.  Probe GT.  Had a 94 and a 95.

I wonder how hard it would be to find a clean one today.

I saw a clean low mileage non-GT model for sale on Craigslist not long ago for $2200.  It was kinda tempting TBH.

ETA: found it, still for sale.  South eastern MN.

Dodge Omni GLH  (Goes Like Hell)

Good friend of mine had one in college, five speed.  Damn fun.

@BD77

I collect the 2.2/2.5 Shelby Dodge vehicles and drive the wheels off of them. I have a couple 89 Shelby CSX VNTs, an 89 Lancer Shelby, Turbo mini with a manual trans, etc., etc. They're a ton of fun. There are actually a couple nice GLH Turbo cars for sale right now. A pretty decent red one in OR and a Santa Fe Springs blue car somewhere for a decent price too.

One more, the Opel GT.  Never driven one.  There are three of these that have been sitting by a building for maybe 20+ years.  Drive buy them on occasion and they've always intrigued me.

Merkur XR4ti

Loved that car.  Poor man’s Ford Sierra Cosworth!

2.0l Turbo four cylinder from the Mustang SVO, five speed manual, RWD.  Soooooo much fun.

I had one exactly like the one in this video.

Back in the 80s, one guy in town that we hung out with had an 81.  It was a cool car back then to all us 14-15 year olds.

I moved to Denver in 1988 and bought an 82 when I turned 16.  Drove it back a year or so later, and the Cutlass/Grand Prix/Monte body style was the in thing.

I really miss that slug of a car with the 231 3.8 litre V6 and would love to have another clean example.  Gotta have the factory mag wheels though, that really made the car in my opinion.

Always was interested in a Pontiac Fiero.  The were like bumper cars.  Yes I know they had a history of engine fires until the last model year when they got it right.

I had a V6 86 GT.

LOVED IT!! Ended up getting an early 80s vette and traded it in. Regretted it ever since.

1989 Dodge Daytona G/S, I bought one from the PX in West Germany.  Perfect car for a single E-5, just a little over 10 grand, insurance was dirt cheap.  I could have bought a corvette or a BMW, then I would have been THAT  buck Sargeant.

Those were great cars. Hardly anything ever broke on them. 16 years working at Acura dealers I have never seen an engine or trans replaced. I did a power steering rack after someone jammed a screwdriver through the seal trying to run a power wire for an amp.

Another one of mine.  Any of the 87/88 Thunderbirds really, but particularly the TurboCoupe.
