I speculated on his trade comp a number of pages ago but if I were GM probably a 1 and a 2/3 would get it done. Even better if they have some pass catchers or defensive backs to sweeten the deal. |

Former Philadelphia Eagles DE Hugh Douglas has been a sports talk show host here in Atlanta for several years, he just took a job back in Philly BTW. He told stories about trying to get to Marino, said he got close enough to smell his cologne a few times but could never get him down. He said that was his biggest regret as an NFL player, Marino made a lot of them miss so getting to him was the goal of many. |

Some teams have jets, but I think most charter planes. I think the Chiefs just charter regular United Airlines birds. I don’t know how many first class seats there are, but it’s not enough for a NFL roster with a bunch of big dudes plus execs that don’t ride coach. I think the Patriots are the only team with their own airliner. The rest fly charters and the seats are configured differently, they aren't going to stuff those big guys in coach configuration. It's probably more like business comfort throughout the plane with fewer seats than us pleabs fly on. American dropped a few team charters after realizing they could make more revenue on regular commercial flights. |
