I’ve thought about hanging a big fucking scary knife on my plate carrier because it’d look sweet...
But then I realized that if I ever actually need to stick someone with a knife while I’m wearing a plate carrier, there’s at least a 60% chance things have gone horribly wrong for me and the last place I want a big fucking scary knife holstered is in plain view on the top of my PC where any lucky punk can grab it. Eta: I have a Microtech switchblade and several Spyderco folders that’d be up to the task of stabbing a bandit, and they all have a pocket clip that keeps them more concealed and a bit less likely to be taken and used against me. |

I like pokey stuff..
Emerson karambit on the right for meat and greet. Esse 4 on left for utility Socp in center to request social distancing.    Edit Side knives are fairly hidden when worn. |

I only have a chest rig for now, I picked up a Bastinelli Mako a few years ago. I bought it because I like it but the more I think about it, it might actually make a decent fighting knife. Closest thing to I have to the Toor Serpent I want to get. Those things seem to be nowhere to be found. Also have a benchmade SOCP dagger in an Armatus Carry sheath on my battle belt but I'll probably only keep one or the other.

Not that I can imagine ever having or needing a plate carrier, a Fallkniven A1. Unless I was stylin’ at Lobby Day, then a Randall #1-7.

I just got a Cold Steel SRK recently and it seems solid. Heads up though, it is a thick knife. There's a compact model now that seems much thinner and only a bit shorter. For 35 bucks for the regular and 40 for the tanto version the SRK is hard to pass up. I really want to handle this thing but you're looking at a lot more money-

The Recons have that kind of handle that either fits you or makes you want to throw it into a tree. The UH looks much more neutral. I keep wanting to pick one up as a carry knife but I have a hard time carrying anything but an Alox SAK anymore. |

If you're planning to be frantically stabbing someone at hand-to-hand ranges in a fight to the death, why are you all posting knives with either no guard or a guard so tiny that you can expect your hand to slip right past it? The surplus bayonet a few posts up is the first knife posted with an effective guard. The bayonet was designed around the requirement of "effective at killing without slicing the soldier's hand open" while almost all of the rest of the knives posted were designed around "look cool so people buy it on the internet." I'm sure they work great for cutting your barbecue
, but maybe we should be considering something a bit more purpose made if we're talking about putting it on a carrier.I wish someone made a quality reproduction WWI Trench Knife.

Okc 3s bayonet. Its sheath has molle straps that fully secure it. I mount mine upside down on my left front, next to a six mag carrier. Fit like a glove and doesn't effect shooting.

Any fixed blade will do. Just remember to carry it right in front and advertise it to the world, so they can pull it off your vest and use it against you.
Better yet, I really prefer when guys use the belt clip of a folder to attach it to their molle. Can't go wrong either way. |
