When i grew up there were plenty of coins with George VI heads and even George V. So her head is likely to remain in circulation for a decent time. It's worth also remembering her likeness on coins changed over time too.

Literally nothing in that statement is correct.

It's stated all over the internet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crown_land

For example (wiki)

Canada
See also: Land ownership in Canada
Within Canada, Crown land is a designated territorial area belonging to the Canadian Crown.[9] Though the monarch owns all Crown land in the country, it is divided in parallel with the "division" of the Crown among the federal and provincial jurisdictions, so that some lands within the provinces are administered by the relevant provincial Crown, whereas others are under the federal Crown. About 89% of Canada's land area (8,886,356 km2 or 3,431,041 sq mi) is Crown land: 41% is federal crown land and 48% is provincial crown land. The remaining 11% is privately owned.[10] Most federal Crown land is in the territories (Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon) and is administered by Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. Only 4% of land in the provinces is federally controlled, largely in the form of national parks, Indian reserves, or Canadian Forces bases. In contrast, provinces hold much of their territory as provincial Crown land, which may be held as provincial parks or wilderness.

Crown land is the equivalent of an entailed estate that passes with the monarchy and cannot be alienated from it; thus, per constitutional convention, these lands cannot be unilaterally sold by the monarch, instead passing on to the next king or queen unless the sovereign is advised otherwise by the relevant ministers of the Crown. Crown land provides the country and the provinces with the majority of their profits from natural resources, largely but not exclusively provincial, rented for logging and mineral exploration rights; revenues flow to the relevant government and may constitute a major income stream, such as in Alberta. Crown land may also be rented by individuals wishing to build homes or cottages.

So was she. I don't mean to speak I'll of the dead and you can't really call it that because she did it willingly but she sat on the throne while her empire fell. It went from the sun never setting on the empire to hardly more than a time zone.

It was her choice to sit back and let it happen. The throne doesn't really mean anything now except to the people who get easily distracted by pomp and circumstance.

Sad day.  Very sad day.  It was clearly going to happen, sooner or later, but still sad.

My grandparents, et al. would almost certainly be dismayed and disappointed that I feel that way, but it is what it is.  I didn't walk in their shoes and they were gone far too young to see me walk in mine.

RIP to them all.  Perhaps they can have a pint together on the other side.

I do hope he's smart enough to realize that as the Monarch he can't be criticizing Government policy or spouting off about the environment. His job is now to advise the Prime Minister and to perform the other varied duties of the Monarch without causing a fuss.

As the Queen for 70 years, she was a driving force behind the special relationship between the
United Kingdom and the United States. In one notable example, on September 12, 2001, the
Queen requested that the Star Spangled Banner be played during the changing of the guard at
Buckingham Palace in a show of solidarity with the U.S. after terrorist attacks killed nearly
3,000 innocent people on American soil.

The king or queen is head of their church?  I actually didn't know that.  I knew there was a "special relationship", but didn't know it was that deep.

Classy and very much supported a positive US/UK partnership.  She played our National Anthem at Buckingham after 9/11 as previously mentioned above. Very large gap in the world stage with ehr gone.
