All 30 some..

The Queen had more than 30 corgis over her 70-year reign, but stopped breeding them years ago so they wouldn't outlive her

Queen Elizabeth II's corgis were all descended from Susan, a dog gifted to her on her 18th birthday.

The Queen's last corgi, Willow, died in 2018 after she had quietly stopped breeding the dogs.

The Queen did not want to leave any dog behind when she died, a source close to her said in 2015

My wife and I were talking about this yesterday, as we are dog people....this is the way I understood the situation.  After the last Corgi passed away, she did not want to have another dog that she would leave behind.  Very thoughtful of her.

‘The most extraordinary honor of my life’: In a profoundly personal tribute, former president Donald J. Trump writes movingly for DailyMail.com to remember the ‘iconic’ Queen and their unforgettable meetings

The whole of civilization is in mourning. The passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the enlightened monarch who reigned over the United Kingdom for 70 years, is a loss felt by billions around the world.

This week, and in the weeks ahead, we especially grieve for the royal family — we can only imagine their sorrow.

And we express our solidarity with all the people of the United Kingdom and every realm of the Commonwealth she so loved.

Few in history have more fully exemplified the traits of dignity, steadfastness, resolve, duty, and patriotic devotion.

She counseled 15 Prime Ministers and 13 Presidents, and was the longest-serving monarch in the history of England and the United Kingdom.

Spending time with Her Majesty was one of the most extraordinary honors of my life.

I grew up in a household where Queen Elizabeth — her grace, her charm, her nobility — were deeply admired, especially by my mother, who came from Scotland.

The times we spent with the Queen at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle are memories Melania and I will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Her Majesty had a sharp mind, missed nothing, and always knew exactly what to say.

At our unforgettable State Dinner three years ago, we got along wonderfully, talking the whole evening.

That same week, the 75th anniversary of D-Day, we sat side-by-side to honor the sacrifice of the British and American warriors who fought and bled together in the Second World War.

I will forever be grateful for the privilege of getting to know this unparalleled leader.

As monarch, Her Majesty the Queen was the personal embodiment of nearly a century of British history.

Every Prime Minister from Winston Churchill onward served under her.

When I asked her who was her favorite, she told me she liked them all.

She saw her country through the Blitz of London, the Cold War, the Falklands conflict, the coal miners’ strikes, Brexit, COVID, and so much more.

No matter what challenges came, she was always there for her people—resolute and unflappable, stabilizing and reassuring by her very presence.

In the face of all adversity, she embodied the uniquely British attribute of a firm and quiet resolve.

The qualities that served Queen Elizabeth so well as monarch also endeared her to the hearts of countless people all over the world.

From Africa to Asia to the Americas, she was the United Kingdom’s greatest emissary.

Through her travels to well over 100 countries, she touched countless lives, spreading confidence, goodwill, and admiration for British values everywhere she went.

Nowhere was this truer than in the United States.

The treasured friendship and precious bond between America and the United Kingdom, which we call the Special Relationship, meant that Her Majesty the Queen was truly special to us as well.

She was respected and beloved by the American People like few other figures in modern times.

Above all, the Queen was great because Britain is great.

In her person, the world witnessed the fullest expression of the British spirit.

The virtues she epitomized were the virtues of the British people.

By her example, we saw what it means to be British—a people who are strong and unwavering, wise and just, noble and majestic; a people who are serious, but good-humored; proud, but righteous; and indeed a people who are a blessing to the entire world.

That was Queen Elizabeth, and that is the United Kingdom. She was Great Britain at its very best.

It will take time for us to fully absorb the extent of this loss.

She was indispensable—a beloved Sovereign of her Kingdom, an icon to the world, a legend in her time.

As we grieve, we are comforted that King Charles III will be a great and outstanding successor to his cherished mother.

Melania and I were blessed to get to know him well when we visited England.

He dearly loves the U.K. and its people. I know he will prove to be an inspiration to the British People, and that under Charles’s reign, they will continue to persevere through all challenges, and push relentlessly onward toward their great destiny in which Queen Elizabeth II so deeply believed.

God bless the Queen. God bless her family. God bless the United Kingdom.

Donald J. Trump was the 45th president of the United States.

I believe when they amalgamated all of the Scottish regiments in 2006 the attempted to also amalgamate most of the uniform differences.

I believe in combat uniform the different battalions wear different colour hackles; and pipes and drums were allowed to keep their original (already amalgamated) dress uniforms and tartans.

Biden will attend the Queen’s funeral: US President and wife Jill will go to service at Westminster Abbey on Monday – amid claims world leaders will be urged NOT to travel to London via private jet or helicopter

US President Joe Biden will attend the Queen's funeral with his wife Jill next week, officials have confirmed.

The head of state is set to go to the service at Westminster Abbey on Monday, September 19, along with dozens of other world leaders.

However, the world's most powerful politician faces the prospect of being asked to catch a coach service to the venue, after it was claimed attendees will be a banned from arriving in private transport.

Dignitaries will be made to arrive in escorted coaches and 'because of tight security and road restrictions', they will not be allowed to use their private state vehicles, it is reported.

Those who decide to go face the prospect of being bused in from West London on the morning of the service - a reception with King Charles III is set to take place at Buckingham Palace for foreign leaders the night before.

According to leaked documents seen by Politico, constraints on space in the historic building mean that only heads of states and their spouses or partners will be invited.

This means Mr Biden and his wife Jill would be the entirety of the US delegation after the White House confirmed today he was planning on attending.

Politico reported that a communication from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) was sent to embassies late on Saturday.

The Department said it 'regrets that, because of limited space at the state funeral service and associated events, no other members of the principal guest's family, staff or entourage may be admitted,' it was reported.

Heads of state unable to attend may choose someone else as their official representative.

According to the document, world leaders have also been urged to travel on commercial flights and have been told they cannot use helicopters to travel around the UK.

The FCDO urged commercial travel 'where possible', Politico said.

'Multiple and comprehensive layers of security will be in place across London and at all the official venues used for the state funeral and associated events,' according to a FCDO document seen by Politico.

Meanwhile, the use of helicopter transfers between airports and venues has been prohibited 'due to the number of flights operating at this time', it was reported.

Politico said that the document also set out some of the engagements for heads of state surrounding the funeral.

A number of royal spectators have noticed King Charles III's swollen hands

Swollen fingers is something the now-King has suffered from for years, with the monarch himself even jokingly calling them his 'sausage fingers' back in 2012 while on tour in Australia after a long flight.

A British doctor has since explained that several painful health conditions could be responsible, as well as the King potentially being prone to water retention.

'Oedema is a condition where the body starts to retain fluids in the limbs, normally the legs and ankles but also in the fingers, which causes them to swell,' Dr Gareth Nye told the Daily Star .

'To see if this is the cause, pressing the swollen area for about 15 seconds would cause a depression in the area.'

Women are more prone to get oedema than men because their a female hormone, progesterone, tends to cause the condition, leaving some women with puffy ankles just before their period.

Older people can develop the disorder if they sit for long periods of time.

King Charles has been pictured with swollen hands and feet many times, noticeably after long periods spent flying or travelling to hot countries.

Another potential reason for the 'sausage fingers' is arthritis.
