Every time this page is loading I see this photo and I think:

"Ja, my name is Lars. I kill terrs, and then eat breakfast. Then I go kill more terrs and have a few beers. Then I kill more terrs and eat a big dinner..."

He's a big old happy corn-fed boy, isn't he?

BTW, it's a Holocaust denial site.

As I said, the guy is a loon... but the writing on that page is very insightful.

That picture of the guy holding the RPD in the village looks out of place.  The guy on the horse with the G3 and the crumpled hat looks like a Portugeek.

May have been, alot of Portuguese Mozzers went to Rhodesia when Mozambique fell.

Zimbabwe is a shithole.

In my Western Civ class last year I had to do pick a colonized area and do a then and now comparison. I picked Rhodesia\Zimbabwe  after seeing these types of threads before.

You are absolutely correct. Rhodesia was known as the Breadbasket of Africa. They were a net exporter of food. Now a lot of these pictures you see of starving children with extended stomachs are coming from Zimbabwe. The communists got rid of anyone (black or white) who knew how to run the large farms.

I found this very interesting article during me research.  How To Kill A Country

Thanks for that... I've always wondered about what happened to the African colonists and westernism, and I can finally find out ...

I always like this picture because it shows the variety of different rifles they used
Starting from the front of the truck;

- first guy on the right has a brand new Belgian/Zud Afrikan FAL with no camo paint and still has the carry handle (carry handles were generally cut/snapped off near the receiver)

- second guy on the right has a 30rd magazine

- first guy on the left side has an early Belgian FAL with the longer 'Browning' style flash hider

- second guy on the left side has a German/Turkish G1 FAL - it has the metal handguards and no flash hider (G1's used a snap/twist on method for muzzle devices)

- fourth guy on the right side has a Portuguese HK G3

and notice the trigger discipline.

Apparently alot of the G3's that the RhSF had were former Portuguese/ Mozambique/Angolan issue and in pretty bad condition and had a bad reputation among the Troopies.

President Carter (the Obama of the '70's) completely betrayed them and left them high and dry.

Hopefully the few remaining whites will emigrate to the U.S.

In 1997 I had the chance to talk to a former Rhodesian fellow that grew up there. He held a QSO with me on 20 meters with a radio that he built entirely from salvaged car parts, and junk from scrap yards in Rhodesia. He told me that they took his radio equipment by force. He then had to build his equipment and bury it at different times to conceal it. He was very old, and was training his grandson to be able to build hf equipment from laundry machines and scrap. Incredible stories.

Media was just determined to make it all about race, which everyone now knows is total bullshit. It was a fight against communism.

I think everyone who is honest knows damn well everyone living there now would be better off if it were still Rhodesia.

Well, for 130 million, you can jump it, once.

Or, option B, we design a pod like the Russians used and drop you like a bomb.
