I know a machinist that made a bunch of silencers and homemade guns like sten's and such. I think it was about 50 counts. He made them, shot them and then chunked them under his single wide trailer. Somebody snitched on him as part of a plea deal in a unrelated case. I thought he was going to prison for the rest of his life. He is older and kind of crippled so the jury gave him 2 years probation. View Quote |

My town.
There's a bit more to the story, apparently this guy was making homemade HE rounds for his 37mm launcher. These were also recovered. |

And for some reason, many you people in "free states" are too dense to wrap your head around the fact that moving out of state isn't an option for many people. Serious question, would you walk out of your 13 year old daughter's life and resort to only seeing her a few times a year (if you were lucky) all because you didn't like the politics / gun laws in your state? Or are you under the impression that you can just make your ex move wherever you want because you want to own a machine gun and not have a FOID card? This should be a lesson to every single one of y’all that live in a ban state. Get the fuck out and start over in a state where you will not spend the cost of your house and a year’s wages just to avoid jail.( but still be a convicted felon) Seriously, with a lot of y’all the Stockholm Syndrome is thick. The term "mechanic" in this case probably sensationalized hinting at organized crime...putting that notion in readers minds...

If true that he made unregistered suppressors, he's probably good and screwed.
Aside from that, he could have been the test case for CT's AWB ban/registration. Otherwise completely legal, just not registered under the new-ish law. Would it have stood up to supreme court scrutiny? |

Illegal use of weapons should be strictly punished. ( crime, robbery, murder etc ) Simply possessing weapons, full auto, suppressors, etc should not be illegal at all. In fact manufacturing a full auto, and a suppressor for your own use should be 100% legal and protected. View Quote |

What's the current law in CT for standard capacity magazines? I think you can have them at your place of work too, but I'm not sure, so don't quote me on this. Frankly, I don't really worry about it much. |

This is what tyranny looks like.
It's why registration, red flag laws, and gun laws in general, are all rooted in evil. They are all about confiscation and punishing otherwise law abiding people. Not about targeting criminals who pray on the public. They want to severely punish a man, simply for exercising his 2nd amendment rights. Not because he was a gang member or other criminal who was using these tools to commit crimes. To harm people. No his crime is simply exercising his rights. Hopefully a jury nullifies the law, but I wouldn't bet on it. Far too many ignorant and evil people who support these laws. |

I have a good woman I think... She asked me how many guns I have one day and I avoided answering which she noticed.
I broke down and told her that's not a question you ask someone. I told her after my death for months later she should be finding things hidden thru out the house, behind coffeepot, etc.. She is a good woman but her daughter in public school makes me worry... No telling what schools are filling her head with. |

Wanna bet if it was on audio it would sound more like a murder was about to happen than a loud argument. If your kid calls 911 because you’re scaring them you’re doing it wrong. The only good thing that came from this is the kid has learned what inviting the man in to your life does. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I really think that those of us in gun friendly states need to start pushing for amnesty and "sanctuary" for people like this in the evil states. We can have a vetting process, where they look at the persons history and the nature of the offenses, then let a judge or jury rule if they should be allowed to own firearms within the state.
