For that price, I'd consider it.
Use the money saved over a NIB from PSA to replace all the springs and maybe the locking block. Factor in the 3rd mag and you're probably still ahead of the game, financially.

And do the G-model conversion.

I like mine.
Really want a 92FS Brigadier Inox with a rail.
Or a 92FS A1 Inox.
Niether of which exists to my knowledge.

Got to finger bang a Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier, and that was sweet, but $$$$.

I still want a P226 and a CZ75, and I'll still continue to rely on my Glocks.

If it's the fixed front sight then it's going to be hard to find a company to replace the tritium vial.  Trijicon no longer services the 92 front sights.

But, yes, they are fine pistols.  Love all of mine.

Trijicon will replace old sights with new.  They will not install new sights on pistols that did not have the sights previously.  This was as of last month anyway.

If you're a gun aficionado that likes guns that shoot freakishly accurate you should have one.  The smooth as glass slide action is also very satisfying.

I say it actually edges out the Sig P226 a little in accuracy based on my experience.

It's a great range/fun gun so I wouldn't worry too much about the dim tritium.

Send the slide to Trijicon. Two weeks and $50 later you'll have new vials in the sights.

(I actually need to do this to my 96G Centurion )

Palmetto State Armory has the 92FS for $449 with free shipping right now.  I'd buy new over a police trade in. I have a 92SF, I prefer my CZ-SP01 over it.  The SP01 will run you about $140 more than the Beretta at PSA.  I don't have a 75B, but a high polished stainless is on my short list.

Neat to own one since, for better or worse, it has been the main sidearm of the US military for years now.

Sidetrack question-  Has anyone see an M9-A1 "in the wild".   I've seen plenty of issue M9's on MP's and other security, but never saw USMC that had an M9-A1.

I put together a grab/go/bugout/etc bag.  Been looking for a pistol to toss in it.  A police trade in M92 would be a good choice.  I wanted a handgun though that would be the best overall option in term of logistics in SHTF.  I have it narrowed to a G19 or M92.  Lots of surplus parts out there and plentiful magazines.

If I'm wondering around in SHTF, I doubt I'm finding VP9, P226, or CZ mags around...

Have a G19, yeah I may find an old G17 mag or something...never know.

Yes, one of the greatest handguns out there.

Incredibly reliable and accurate. The tilting locking block allows for a much faster shot to shot split.

I used one in security forces in VA/DC then in the fleet. It took me 10 years to shoot one when I got out but as soon as I picked one up I regretted letting all that time go by.

I picked up a cheap trade in for $350 and it's a bit worn so I replaced some springs and it's been tits.

Now I carry a m9a1 compact and the FS has a surefire rail/light and is my bedside gun.

D spring, g levers,  extended mag release are a few worthwhile upgrades. Both the guns have g levers and the compact has Wilson thin g10 grips.

I hated the thick sausage grip of the original M9 style beretta. But recently I picked up a used 92FS Vertec from Scheels for less than $400. It is a far more comfortable pistol. Thinner with a better grip angle. I would recommend the vertec models over the standard.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it type of thinking, it's a 1970s design after all.

A proper 92 historian could set us straight, but I believe they first appeared on the 90Two, as did the 'buffer' and rail.  90Two was not successful, and it's 'advanced' features were quickly adopted by the M9A1 (perhaps A3) guns, so there was little incentive to continue promoting it.  My .40 Cal 90two is below.  Trivia, both 9mm or .40 cals are known as 90Two's, the 96 terminology is not in play.

I tried to like mine, but I must have " Trump sized girly hands " .. just felt too bigly for my hands and same goes for the P226 , now the P228 loved it but sold it , HK USPc liked it but sold it , keeping both my G19s though

Tooltech were the people trijicon used.   I was referred to amerigun (Gary) for newer 92’s.  From what I undererstand they will dovetail a front sight.  On older 92’s.  Trijicon will inspect and relamp the front sight.  The inspection is for warranty replacement.  Non warranty work is 19$ per lamp.

This is from an email from trijicon c/s

I've got a Glock 22 and 27.  They still get shot at least once a month so I can stay proficient with them.  I usually have one of them in the car when I'm out...   That said I'm not real excited about shooting them anymore.  I put 10x the number of rounds through my other handguns at this point.  A Glock 19 would be as about as exciting as going to the hardware store to buy a shovel.

I'll have to go into the store tomorrow and check out the Beretta.
