The Bad Batch!!!
One of them has the Punisher skull painted on the face plate of his helmet. |

I hope they do the Spaghetti Westernish story line for the young Boba Fett, where he faces off against Cad Bane. They showed an animatic of this before I believe.

Quoted: Your thread came right on time. Did you know they were announcing this??? View Quote After some thought, it's my firm conviction that if you're a fan of the franchise, it's REALLY important to support this installment. For those who haven't seen TCW, trust me, this is the kind of SW we want, and the more support it gets, the more likely we will see similar content in the future from Lucasfilm and Disney. Also, it looks like they are doing 12 episodes centering around the Siege of Mandalore, but I bet if it does well, we could see more. |

View Quote Honestly I rather see more animated season stuff than live action SW going forward. There's just so much more you can do and really develop the characters out over seasons. Leave the trilogy stuff alone or make them 3 seasons . Said in one of the TLJ threads thats the route Disney needs to go and leave live action movies alone and do animated movies to BluRay or streaming. Like what DC does. I don't really care for DC live action movies but their animated movies are pretty dern good imo |

Clone Wars was fantastic. Definitely worth watching. Ahsoka was a bad-ass. Her duel against both Anakin and Kenobi is one of my favorites from the series. View Quote Ashoka is maybe my favorite Star Wars character (and I've watched and read 99% of the entire universe). Clone Wars and Rebels are some of the best SW's IMO, Filoni should be in charge of the whole thing. |

Disney's takeover of Lucasfilm has to rank up there as one of the greatest tragedies in human history. Comparable to the time when the Great Pyramid fell over and crushed the library of all ultimate knowledge and technology.
Like the Holocaust, but for Star Wars fans, instead of the Jewish. Like that moment when Moses dropped the third tablet, the one that held the commandment "Thou Shalt Not Suffer A Libtard To Live". Like that moment when the dinosaurs invented the Extinction Bomb...and tested it on themselves. |

She held her own for a little bit with Vader too. Ashoka is maybe my favorite Star Wars character (and I've watched and read 99% of the entire universe). Son of a bitch! That is awesome that they are bringing it back

This will definitely be interesting.
Rebels, the Ahsoka book and the Son of Dathomir comics are all cannon, so they must be taken into account. |

Holy shit just watched the video, I'm pumped
Gonna need to watch the whole series again now. ...aaaaaand it's not available on Netflix UK. FFS |

I quite literally just went wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube man here in the office.
I LOVED the Clone Wars, just as I loved the animated shorts. As mentioned the writing was very grown up, and helps you honestly understand an Anakin that truly has reason to detest the Republic, other Jedi, the Council, and why he'd be susceptible to turning against them. Especially after Ahsoka walks away. I hope this opens the door for more stuff about the Clone Commandos or ARC Troopers. |
|
YEEEESSSSSSS!!!!
I love TCW, I remember we had a party when season 4 came out. Can't wait for some more Star Wars!!!! |

If you're using a web browser like Chrome try the free VPN plug in and choose an American site. You might get it that way.
I did it before to get some stuff to load on Netflix that wasn't in the US |

Guess Disney said we got to do something after the flack that TLJ had and because of it caused Solo to worse than expected for them.
This is a start giving the fans what they really want. Kennedy still has to go |

I wish they would just let you buy episodes on Xbox video or Amazon. Watching Rebels was annoying on Disney XD.
It will be worth it no matter how we have to watch. |

I hope it stays dark and Disney doesn't turn it into a kiddie show

Great show that has been overlooked due to it being a cartoon.

I hope it stays dark and Disney doesn't turn it into a kiddie show TCW was HIS show, after all. If we are going to get a true continuation of the spirit and feel of the series, Filoni is the man to do it. This also bodes well for SW (long term). There are rumors of Filoni being granted creative control of the franchise. This is not really hard evidence of that happening, but it is at least a positive sign... |

Quoted: If this new TCW installment gets a positive response (which it will; people are losing their shit over this news already), I could see Filoni being promoted after finishing up the series. View Quote The question though is would Filoni want to tackle that mess? TLJ screwed up a ton of arcs and the way the movie could go. Bring back Mr Colt 45 isn't that good of an idea to me. Stop the cameos and move the series on. Luke is the only important one and maybe a ghost yoda |

Good. TCW is vastly superior to anything since the originals, may even top them due to its series structure rather than movie. Deeper plot, less bullshit

Luke is the only important one and maybe a ghost yoda View Quote I can see the Sequel Trilogy having an even less favorable legacy than the prequels did because its movies are not connected in any really meaningful way to the saga as a whole, and they did not add any memorable characters who will endure in the collective mind of the audience. Who the hell is going to care about Rey or Poe Dameron ten years from now? On the other hand, at least the Prequel Trilogy was well connected to the Original Trilogy through its characters (Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, Yoda) and its plot lines (the Clone Wars, the rise of Emperor Palpatine, etc.). TCW did a fantastic job of making the prequels better, but there will be no animated show able to do that for the new trilogy, and even Filoni might not be capable of saving it. That being said, he should be promoted to be in charge of everything creative going forward in order to avoid another disaster like the Sequel Trilogy. |
|
Quoted: The way I see it, the Sequel Trilogy is doomed. There are no characters left worth caring about, and Rian Johnson did a terrible job of setting up the final installment for any sort of fulfilling end. Plus, the fans are so disgusted with what happened that I don't see them coming back for Episode Nine in large numbers, especially after Lucasfilm employees have doubled down on stupid and made it seem like the fans are the one with a problem for TLJ being poorly received, not the other way around. I can see the Sequel Trilogy having an even less favorable legacy than the prequels did because its movies are not connected in any really meaningful way to the saga as a whole, and they did not add any memorable characters who will endure in the collective mind of the audience. View Quote I still don't know what the objective was in Ep8 for the rebels. TCW made the prequels a ton better, especially the time between 2 & 3. A lot of gaps are filled in and you learn more about Anakin, The Jedi, Palpatine and others. There's not enough time in the time line between 7 or 8 to tell a story. They could possibly help 9 with a cartoon that comes out later like TCW did but 9 will have to take place 3-4 years after the end of Ep8. Nobody is going to want to tackle that mess known as TLJ. I'm not even sure how you could fix it so 9 is half way decent unless you do like I said in another thread and that is to make Ep9 a 2 parter one movie to try and fix it and the other to close it but yeah Filoni should handle the stories going forward, he seems to have a vision on how to get from A to C. No more Skywalker/ Solo stuff. Time to go with new characters |
