The real question (although I'm certain that the OP doesn't give a flying fuck) is . . .

. . . what do the neighbors think about it ? ? ?

Or is that what caused it to burn in the first place ? ? ?

You've prewired each of the corners of the house for 3 POE drops for your camera system, right?

3 POE = Three times as many as one

As in three drops per corner. As in 12 drops for a square shaped structure, more if your architect is more creative than a preschooler.

Just out of vulgar curiosity, if you don't mind answering.

How old are you?

What do you do for a living?

I like that the OP is standing up for what he likes and building his house how he wants it.  I like to go outside for sunlight and don't really want it inside much either... but not being able to open all the windows and get fresh air in the house would bother me.  Hope OP has a whole house fan, at least.

However I also think the house looks creepy and odd.  But fuck me, good for you OP.

If I ever build a house, it will be odd in my own way as well.  I basically want one big ass open space with bedrooms/bathrooms in the corners, and it'll be similarly unconventional if I ever get to build it.

And for the record, I'll bet you can take one hell of a good nap in this house?

You do have air-conditioning don't you?   You know, to keep the cave cool?

Also harder for the neighbors to hear screams. I mean... better noise reduction.

Ignoring the lack of windows for a moment.

Can't say I would have made the same choices, but it's not my money or property. Glad you got the house the way you want it though!

Like I said in the thread where a member installed a urinal in his master bath and folks were bitching it didn't meet their HGTV standards, "a man ought to be able to set-up his home to his level of comfort without worrying about 'resale value' or what some snobby house guest might think."

Wow. Minimal chance of resale value. Even the most creative realtor would have one hell of a time describing that pillbox.  "Cozy brick shell for your inner hermit....creeper vibes galore. Even those serving Jehovah would not dare witness what you will likely do behind these imposing mind control ray proof walls."
