Quoted: Not a thing. Never had anything good in stock at my local stores View Quote Yep I stopped trying. Employees would snatch up anything and everything. I wondered why all the cool shit would have a couple in stock, yet none of it was ever on the floor. I finally busted them on the mini bikes deal. I think it was $80 for a $400 motor bike. Stock showed they had 8 in stock. Nothing on the floor, just a big gaping 2 pallet deep hole. I had a manager check in the back, and sure enough she came back and told me they were in fact in the back on pallets, but that they were being purchased by an employee. I told her that I've got money now and I'd like to actually buy a couple, but manager said no, and that they were technically already spoken for. I also wanted a takedown 10/22, and similar happened. As soon as the post dropped, I rushed in to buy one of the 4 that had just clearanced, but despite them being there for full price the day before, they were gone and unfindable by manager. Knowing that I couldn't compete with employees despite getting there 20 minutes after deals would pop up, I gave up on it. I almost got one of the weatherbys as well, but that didn't work out either I think those were $200? Maybe $250? Saw plenty of them on sale on the local gun board for full MSRP after that, lol |

Brand new in the factory box rifle (with scope) for $ 53.04 (sales tax) out the door. Minus the $50 rebate for a new $3.04 total cost after the rebate! Bought a matched pair (30.06) for my son & I and they both shoot very accurate! Best Deal Evar'! Bigger_Hammer |

Best deal?
Some asshole on this website posted on a Sunday night about 8 years that Walmart had several rifles on clearance. I talked my wife into going with at 9pm that same night. We walked out with 4 new guns. Ruger American Ranch 243 Ruger American Ranch 308 Marlin Mag Fed 22 SA Rifle Mossberg Auto Shotgun (I forget the model) $600 for all 4. The lady thought I was out of my mind when I said I'll take them all. Still never even fired a single one of those guns. |

I think the best deal was some Federal Gold Medal 12ga. Think it was $2-$3 a box and I got 5 cases worth. It was one of the only stores where I got a helpful and knowledgeable employee. She actually explained that they had an area with stuff that they were told to pull from the floor and it ends up just sitting there. If I had more time I would have asked to see it all. I also grabbed several 1187's. Most of what I bought was ammo. I did alright but it started getting to where nothing was accurate and the employees at my store had zero desire to track stuff down. It stopped being worth my time.

Marlin 1895 for $200.
1,500rds of .22mag for $1.50/bx 9mm for $2.50/bx |

Not from that thread, I didn't see it. Got a citizen eco-drive watch from walmart last week I first saw on slick deals for $48. Looked 5 minutes later to order another one thought I could give as a cheap gift. Was sold out.

Synthetic stock savages $49 plus $50 rebate
Wood stock savages $79 plus $50 rebate 420rd m855 $39 Henry Golden Boys $139 Takedown $79 This was a great year. |

$40 per can
Attached File I think the 200 round packs of 40 and 45 were $25 $25 or 30 for the 200 round federal 223. $28 for the 400 round bulk pack umc 223. Attached File I regret not buying everything left in the cabinets at the few stores I went to. |
|
Quoted: 420rd cans of M855 for $125 IIRC. Then it went even lower and I got one for $84 I think. View Quote I found 4 for $32 each when wallys was clearancing them out. The inventory said the store had 4, but they were nowhere to be found and I accidentally stumbled on the store manager when I was looking for an employee to help me look. Turned out the sporting goods employee had hid them behind the life jackets intending to buy them himself. So, instead of just buying 1 I bought all 4... |

I got 1000rds of Remington green box 45acp JHP for $200 and 6 x 420rd cans of M855 for $125 each. Oh and an H&R Pardner pump 12ga for $99.

I got a ton of Russian buck shot for like $2.97/box of 50 or something like that.

4 new trailer tires for 3 cents each. The manager was reluctant to sell them because he was afraid they were mismarked, lol.

None. The three or so times I’ve checked on an item, it’s either not local or not at the clearance price.

2 Savage A17 rifles for $99 each. Later on, sold one for $250 to a party who wanted one. Still haven't shot the one I have.

About 40 of those Nikon Buckmaster scopes for stupid dirt cheap...
One store I found in north Houston i picked up 19 in one swipe. about 5 Nikon Binoculars...dirt cheap 3 Leupold scopes ...DIRT cheap Picked 3 Ruger 10/22s for $49 1 Ruger 10/22 Takedown for $149 3 Savage Rifles for $49-$74 ( in 30.06 and 6.5 Creed)-->mailed in the $50 rebate too Was in line one day at a store with nobody there...don't believe anyone had a clue about the guns on clearance they had removed all guns from the floor and were in the back. I bought 3 and within minutes the counter was swamped . should have bought 10 that day...and most likely could have. I'll kick myself over that for a LOOONG time. |

Quoted: Got a few many years ago but haven't looked at it recently. Got one of the $250 or $300 Marlin 45-70s, got the cheap Mossberg, the Ruger American, Savage BMag, and lots of ammo. View Quote I got the Marlin at $299. Then got the $50 rebate. Then used the $50 rebate to buy 12 gauve slugs for$3 per box. Then got a $2 per box rebate on the slugs. Then sold the slugs for $4 per box at the gunshow. I figure I'm out of pocket about $154 on the Marlin. |

As soon as the post dropped, I rushed in to buy one of the 4 that had just clearanced, but despite them being there for full price the day before, they were gone and unfindable by manager." The way that I was able to get around that little sticking point was channel a Karen speak to the manager type. I would tell the manager(or regular sporting goods person), that I would do them a favor, and get on the phone and inform LE and the BATFE about missing firearms at an FFL dealer so it could be look into, as missing firearm were a big safety concern. They would say they would "look" again. Then come back about 10-15 min later with said item(s) and make up a story about being buried or not in the right place. Worked the couple times I did it. |

I didn't get anything. I thought arfcom didn't like WM?
Oh, that was different meme. |

Quoted: The $49 savage axis rifles were the best deal. They were $49 with a $50 mail in rebate. I ended up with at least one in every caliber for free. Also a couple Henry Big Boys is .44 and .357 for $129 each, a couple of 1187 Remingtons in 12 & 20 ga for $79 each, $149 Goodyears for $10, too much smaller stuff to count. View Quote That right there. |

The mossberg 930 for a really good price, then I threw an OR3gun catalog at it and had the barrel cut and threaded.
Have shot it like twice |
|
I got the last Marlin 1895 at my local store they had on clearance a few years back. 249.99 after rebate. ??

Savage 64F .22lr for $78 and some ammo. Everything else was gone before I could find it or get it.
The Lowes clearance thread though. That one wrecked my bank account. |

Don't remember the specific prices, but do remember the sporting goods manager and the store manager dumbfounded and slightly angry.
|

Got the $219 45-70. Tried for a second one at the other wal mart in town and the counter guy screwed me.
Also got the power wheels type jeep for $100 a couple years ago. Was a good deal for a grandpa with a new grandson who is finally big enough for it! Generally, this place has saved me right into the poor house! |

Ruger 10/22 takedowns for $250 each and Ruger Mini 14s for 399 each I cleaned them out

Mostly ammo.
Several 420-rd cans of M855 or M193 for less than $100 each. I think the lowest may have been $45. A 500-rd brick of Rem-UMC 45 ACP FMJ for $35. ZQI 7.62x51 20-rd boxes for $2 each. ZQI 9mm 50-rd boxes for $5 each. Also got some Goodyear AT 275/70R17 tires for my GMC Z71 for $75 each, with FREE mounting and lifetime balance / road hazard / rotation. Got the wife a nice triple crock-pot combo for $15. Several USA-made yard tools (shovels, pick-axe, post-hole digger, pitchfork, etc.) for $10 or less each. Biggest fiasco was when I was trying to find a couple of $125 laser rangefinders that were marked down to $20. Brickseek said store had 75 in stock. Store inventory handheld said the same. Couldn't find a single one. Even the head store manager looked. He got a little agitated when I mentioned how that was going to look on a loss prevention report, over $9000 in sporting goods gone. A few months later, that same store "lost" about 5 or 6 DPMS Sportical carbines. I don't think that manager is there anymore. Ah, I miss the WM Clearance Glory Days. |
