The only way to rectify this is to mount quad 50s on your car with CROWS, have a KAC PDW in the cab, a Barrett m107 in the trunk and a full sized pistol on you.

As someone that viscerally hated glocks and their miserable fanboys growing up, I now own a G34, 17, 43x and had a 19 and a 21 I’ll say this.
The 19 is the iphone of handguns. Its the closest you get to universal mag compatibility just like iphone users don’t have to worry much about finding a charger. The aftermarket support is overwhelming. The grip angle still sucks ass after 5 generations of “perfection” It would be nice to see some beavertail options or different frame options, and the internals may not be the best. But they do work well. I agree with OP that the 45 is retarded and all the comps and bullshit people put in 19s defeat the purpose of a 19. |

Quoted: A lack of imagination does not constitute a valid argument. Picture this scenario. You're being pursued by two groups. Globohomos in one, and Communists in the other. Their endless, mindless legions have you nearly cornered. You've expended all 171 rounds with which you started the day, and claimed 171 GloboCommieHomo kills. You are out of ammunition. But Lo! You come across the body of a police officer. He has a Pride tattoo on his neck, so you don't feel bad salvaging his gear. You see 3 9mm Glock baseplates on his belt. You thank the deity of your choice for your good fortune! You grasp them and attempt to reload your trusty G17. But, then with a sinking feeling, you realize it's a 19 mag. The joy slides from your face as quickly as that perfectly good magazine slides out of your pistol. Useless as teats on a boar. The last thing you hear as your intestines are being eaten by the homosexual cannibals? "Shoulda run a nineteeeeeeee..." Fade to black. View Quote |

Trying to carry a 17 at 3 or 4 o’clock with can makes the end of the barrel or light stick out further than my ass.

I recently (month ago) got my first G19 after YEARS on these boards. Going back the full-auto.com, listening to how G19 is the SHIT.
it seems pretty good. The VP9/40 is better in every measurable area for me. Truth be told, for that time period, I think the USPc, P99/SW99, are on par or better. I belive all 3 are better than a stock M&P Mostly, I find the G19 ergos to be just as bad as I thought it would be. *my G19 is a finger groove Gen3 type, I tried a friends Gen4 without finger grooves and found it to be even worse for me. Today? Give me a VP9 10 years ago? G19 or USPc Honorable Mention: SW99/P99 |

Quoted: I'M NOT GOING TO BUY A G17! I'M JUST GOING TO THROW MONEY UNTIL I CAN CREATE A G17 View Quote Got a Canik TP9SF instead of a G17. Better ergonomics & trigger, plus the $299 price tag was irresistible. |

I'll take my HK USPc over my G19. I typically carry the USP compact and leave the G19 as a bedside bump in the night gun. My summer time carry though is a G43 when I'm wearing light shorts and a T-shirt.
|
|
My favorite Glock of all is the G19X.
Usually carry the 19 though. Should probably start carrying the 19X more. |
|
Tried numerous Glocks over the years, never did warm up to them.
Grip felt strange, trigger even stranger, couldn't shoot them worth a darn. Recently tried a PSA Dagger and their grip ergonomics put the Glock grip to shame. Trigger's not great but I can shoot the Dagger better than any Glock. I now own 3 Daggers that rotate between nightstand, EDC & training duty. Hard to hate for $329 w/night sights. |

I will stand by this statement for sure, my first Glock as a G23, back in 1993 or '94, and it was great, that was the pistol that got me on this Glock train. The only semi auto I would consider above the Glocks are Sig 2XX series and HK USP line. |

It's fascinating that gun companies make and sell guns in different sizes and combinations because different people have different needs and preferences.
Glock makes one gun, in a bunch of different sizes. No one is required to like what I like. |
