No knife pic!

Yeah I have a few local knife friends that encompasses a broad spectrum of the industry. It's fun. One time at a local brewery it became show and tell and our wives were rolling their eyes.

I don't care what it's called, I like the blade shape and have wanted something with some copper in it. Along with the bearing pivot at a very good price, it's something I'd like to have in the collection.

No where near as nice as Kuraki's but it's still neat. The blade to have an upward angle in comparison to the handle I'm not sure I like.

Looks neat.

The upward angle is interesting

I wish they'd do it in the normal sized one. I'm not much for small knives (save "gentleman's" folders), but I still think it's cool.

Yep. I have a Spider Monkey that's pretty nice. I'm mostly just annoyed I got all black so I don't carry it as much.

The overall knife is top notch, but they have some of the best contoured carbon fiber.  That said, I love my copper Spider Monkey.  Wife and I doubled down at GoingGear last year.

ETA: I just threw an abused kitchen knife in there this morning for S&G. Wow, the diamond stones cut through that cheap steel like nothing.  And very pleased with the one handed controls for the angle and clamping. I better watch some you tube videos or find some instructions before I do anything nicer.

It's a pretty impressive set up.

Diamonds are great for all steels. That's why I always recommend them in every thread. For a couple bucks more you can have something that'll work on everything as opposed to stones that'll not be able to abrade hard carbides, that'll dish out or rip out the carbides.

Yeah, those are definitely my least favored aspects of the 850, if someone comes out with replacement hardware I will replace them. But, the blade shape, material, blue CF, the subframe lock.... basically everything else outweighed those couple dislikes, and I had to jump on it when Amazon dropped the price to  $230
