I did get this little gem today.  Trying to live with it a little before buying some for my other CRKs.  Really like it so far.

That looks like the same one from my 450.

It's pretty nice as a functional clip.

While I like the clip for it's ride position and ease of putting it in compared to the factory clip, it does not come out as easily as the factory one.  Little harder to grab.  Maybe it will improve with use or I will figure it out.  Still really like it.

Definitely easier. Still not sure I am a lanyard person. I will leave it on, see how it goes. Think I just need to learn how to pull it with the new clip though. Different than all my other deep carries.

Lanyards are nice for keeping big knives in your hand when whacking away.

Small knives they are more decorative but at times useful

This prototype is done. Making some slight changes and then I'll do a run of 12 or so.   Changing the opening hole so it's not extending back under the frame when open. Changing the open angle so the edge of the blade will continue to flow with the arc of the handle rather than the opposite direction.  Last I won't use this ugly purchased clip, instead I will make Ti clips that use the scale screw and be inserted into a channel under the scale instead of over, that way it will be ultra deep carry with nothing to snag your pocket.  Last I'll either use a different pivot or I will put a copper/zi/ti/etc cup under the pivot screws.

I did a flipper first.  But since I really just copied a production knife I didn't like the idea of making many of that particular one.  RE: Standoffs, you prefer them to the solid backspacer?  The prototype has washers.  I just can't like them after using bearings and will likely use bearings in all folders going forward, other than slip joints/lockbacks.  Any scale material.  Bolsters, etc.  Elmax or M390 and Z-Wear or A2.

Looking at my rotation, it looks like I prefer standoffs. I don't have any with backspacers. Thinking it through, it's probably because I can clean the ones with standoff's more easily. I suppose I like the look too.

Keep us posted!

Blade finish can be per request.  I'm having trouble finding M390 and Zwear right now so Elmax and A2.  A2 should parkerize nicely.  TI liners, backspacer, and clip.  Probably serrated jimping below the thumb ramp.  Cleaning? I just blow them out with my air compressor  The backspacer allows for interesting filework if it's desired.  I may also go with Ti screws, but they're so god damn expensive.  For now working on a few ways to color the stainless screws.

I was looking at that thinking it was the scale's finish and drooling. It does look really cool - I'd love to have that in a permanent pattern.
