So we got one for her dad - same difficulty, size, manufacturer. In spite of it being a gift, he gave her grief about it - too big, pieces too small, pieces all looked the same, etc.. For the record, one of the main reasons I chose it, along with being made in the USA and not a flimsy dusty nasty POS, was that it did have unique individual shapes (a lot these days are so cheap every piece has two knobs and two notches always on the same sides. We gave him ours last time we visited and he knocked that out right away too.

So as I have a lot of time to work on these things, they suggested some things to get my thought process going, one of which was building Legos.  I LOVE Legos.  Always have.  Knew their counsel here in CT for a bit.  Her husband worked with me and every Christmas he would bring garbage bags of assorted Legos for everyone.  Thousands and thousands of pieces.   Way cool.

I have a bunch of kits of various sizes.  I'm almost done with this small Harry Potter kit.  Next is a very small police kit then a huge Ferrari 488 Pista race car which will be awesome.   I know I'm getting Old Trafford stadium, home of Manchester United for Christmas so I'll be good for awhile.  Hopefully these damn knives will show up soon.  Hope everyone is well.

MIL liked to do puzzles with her mom, so I got her a couple for Christmas one year. One was double-sided, with no edges and extra pieces. The other was all black, with no edges and extra pieces. I have no idea if she ever attempted them.

3-minutes from transaction completion to shipment notification with tracking.

DLT has set the bar, and I think companies are taking notice regarding expedient processing and shipping.

I wouldn't say "celebrate". "Recognize" would be a better term.

A neighbor down the street puts up WAAAAYYYYY too many decorations. Ever since our first Christmas here, this has been our setup. Takes about 20 minutes to put up, less to take down.

Neon Zero - pics tomorrow. Initial opinion is mostly positive, maybe a slightly stiff detent. But, I suppose it’ll loosen-up as it breaks in. I haven’t had a chance to really examine it - should have time tomorrow to really check it out. All that internal milling…it’s pretty damn light.

300 puts you close to a used Sebenza and that would be pretty nice.

Also includes the PM2, ZT 562, 45X, Manix, Gayle Bradley 2 and some other solid choices.

If you want to mix it up a little you could score a TRM Atom or somethingACE line of knives from Giant Mouse like the Sonoma.

Yeah if you stretch to 350 or so (maybe less) you should be able to find a used Sebenza. Not fidgety but a real classic.

That's a really big question and we don't know enough about your tastes yet. We would kinda be pissing in the dark.

Outdoor stuff, hunting, rbb2's suggestion below of the Knifeworks Ritter is a solid one.

However, you are in Canada. Crazy laws and border BS. Flippers are taboo...is other shit now too? figure it out before ordering anything and expect a wait unless you find it on your side.

While we were house shopping, I was working at my last job and got paid pretty low. We worked a shit ton of OT though, especially in the winter (24hr days sometimes). The lender was basing "what we could afford" using my OT. I'm like "no, you shouldn't be basing it on that. What if my OT goes away tomorrow?" Perfect way to get someone into something with no wiggle room should something drastic happen.
