all right! Off to find a Cartel gold AK for your office. You're responsible for your own armor. That shit is expensive. |

While doing that, I have been working to repair my short term memory which unfortunately was another casualty of my illness. I also have a tough time thinking quickly. I know what I want to say but can't quite get it out for a bit. Very frustrating. So as I have a lot of time to work on these things, they suggested some things to get my thought process going, one of which was building Legos. I LOVE Legos. Always have. Knew their counsel here in CT for a bit. Her husband worked with me and every Christmas he would bring garbage bags of assorted Legos for everyone. Thousands and thousands of pieces. Way cool. I have a bunch of kits of various sizes. I'm almost done with this small Harry Potter kit. Next is a very small police kit then a huge Ferrari 488 Pista race car which will be awesome. I know I'm getting Old Trafford stadium, home of Manchester United for Christmas so I'll be good for awhile. Hopefully these damn knives will show up soon. Correct. It's a Canadian Border Services Agency thing.
_____ Canada Border Services Agency wrote on its website: In accordance with subsection 84(1) of the Criminal Code and the CITT’s recent decision in T. LaPlante, the CBSA resolves that centrifugal knives will be classified as prohibited weapons if the following conditions are met: a. a knife has a blade that opens by centrifugal force, when the blade is released from the handle into the fully ejected and locked position with a simple and brisk outwardly flick of the wrist; and b. it includes knives that require some preliminary or simultaneous minimal manipulation of either a flipper or other non-edged parts of the blade. Knives that can be opened with the flick of your wrist are prohibited. This could include those knives that also use a flipper or other non-edged parts like a thumb stud. If applied broadly, that pretty much covers the vast majority of folding knives — whether it has an assisted-opening mechanism or not. _____________________ And from what I have heard, good luck finding desirable folding knives in the great north. Sounds like a lot of the supply lines have dried up or they face similar shortages due to scarcity like everday goods. Our framing shop just told us the frame we wanted wouldn't be available until April at the earliest. Why? That's crazy. We have a Van Gogh that needs a home. Now we have to settle for a lesser frame aesthetically. May be similar for a new folder. ETA: And just to be clear, it is not impossible to get knives into Canada if you buy from an individual and they are willing to disassemble it prior to shipping, but there is more risk and CBSA seems to apply the regulation somewhat randomly. I don't think most US knife stores are shipping folders to Canada, don't want to bear the risk if it is confiscated. |

I had some different Riedels that I picked up in Texas because the AirBnB didn't have proper drinking ware, and I was going to keep them for the story, but all the ones I have at home are like the one in your pic. Which I like. So I returned the ones from Texas to the brand new Target by my house (inaugural trip) and bought some more like we have for my office. I see they tweaked the design ever so slightly on these newer ones though. Still, my preferred drinkware. Have one in hand right now actually. |

If I had any after the Fiasco, it wasn't long. No more. I think I had an auto Bedlam when the shit went down. That was an easy sell. Hurt to do it though. That was a BIG fuck yeah knife.
