It's a nice light cider when it isn't spilled all over your laptop keyboard.

Not that anyone asked, but yes, the dumpster smell did eventually go away.

I have an Esee Izula and an Esee Junglas.  I'm looking for something lighter than the junglas in the 4-6 in range and I liked the model 15 style.  The Junglas is great for truck camping, but I always end up leaving it in the truck when I'm hiking.  The Izula is great for hiking, but it would be nice to have a bigger knife when hiking in to a camp.

I stumbled across the "Utah Special" combat woodsman from Flatrock Forge that looks to fit the gap I'd like to fill.  Any input on that option? (I think the owner is a member here)

https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/187062/1000008138_jpg-3236744.JPG

I'll take a look at the blackjack that several have suggested as well.

I'd just get an Esee 4, but I'm interested in trying something different.

The other one is a really low bar for you, but thanks. They're like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide

Thoughts are not well thought out yet, but it's a keeper for sure. Fit / finish are perfection. It is really tight for now as far as opening and closing. I haven't found anything much needing cutting today that didn't require a power tool but I'm sure it will perform. The insingo will be hard to beat for practicality and functionality, but the drop point has a much more elegant appearance and the rest of the knife backs that up too. I'm really fond of this level of old school / new school mash up with the burl. Hard to put it in proper perspective - it has a certain gestalt I really dig.

Randall lives on as a legacy thing. People want them because they see them in movies and old pics but Randall just rides the hype. No innovation just same shit.

@Star_Scream

I don't have a micrometer so can't be specific. Took a pic of my tiny Kershaw Copper Cinder sandwiched in between them. The blades are thick.

KaBar 1277 mod. Some time ago I thought it would be cool to cerakote my 1277 so I had someone on here do it for cheap with whatever color he had on hand. He did the whole thing, which made the grip slippery.

It just sat until I stripped the blade but the handle wasn't able to be stripped. So I hockey taped it and put a mustard patina on it. I kind of like it now and the grip is less slippery.
