Thanks. Second one I've ever made.
This was a test piece so just used maple. I'm working on one made from apple that should be great! Trying a new pattern also.

I've got so many lights at work, it's ridiculous. I've got 4 on my box that I use everyday, 3 more that I don't really care for so they hide in a drawer, a headlamp, and 2 pocket pen lights.

That's the next step, I'm going to cut one more set of aluminum with the final couple small tweaks then I'm going to cut out a couple in G10 and/or micarta to see how they work. I want to come up with some texture ideas for the outside of them eventually.

Yeah, connectivity was key. It will primarily be used for the record player, but also need to play by Bluetooth from phones for events. Should be fun. One of our people got all excited this morning when he saw a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon LP. Another got excited when he saw the Marantz box.

Out for breakfast this morning. Will grab a pic and post later.
After that I may cut the grass or may sit on the porch and watch the world go by. Not sure yet.
Need to head to the apartment house later in the afternoon so I can let a contractor in to do some work.
Want to play in the shop some too. How's that for proper retirement?

Looks good. You should source some briar or at least olive wood for some pipes. They will handle the heat better if you are going to smoke them.

Wood on the Ursus pairs nicely with the new pipe bowl.

You know would really round out the ensemble?
A hand made wooden coffee mug.

Kindof looks like in the photo but it's just the tool marks from the endmill that faces off that side. It's the overlapping passes from a 3/8" endmill. Smooth as glass and it leaves a really neat finish. I'll see if I can take some interal pics to show it up close.

I do want to try programming some jeweling work on my mill to jewel the stainless liners on the slip joints, I think that would look really cool.

Fun stuff! I got a new upgraded cartridge all set up and installed a new motor recently. Still have all my vinyl from high school, including a bunch of imports & other audiophile quality disks.
