Quoted: AKC has ruined countless dogs. Popular sire syndrome, and breeding for a look is the dumbest shit ever. Form follows function. Hybrid vigor for the win. Landrace all the things. View Quote Popularity has ruined countless breeds. AKC has helped preserve a number of rare breeds. Without the AKC, the Otterhound would likely be extinct. Breeders, not the AKC, dictate the future of the breeds. |

Quoted: Link Dilute never occurred naturally in the breed until it just happened to appear coincidentally in a kennel that bred both Weimaraners and Labs and advertised “pointing Labs”. Occam’s Razor says… View Quote "Although we cannot conclusively prove that the silver Labrador is a product of crossbreeding the Weimaraner to a Labrador.." There has been zero hard data supporting they have been crossbreed. It doesn't even matter to me, if there was testing to support it I'd gladly acknowledge it. But the fact is there isn't. |

French Bulldog?
Will probably abandon that spot pretty quickly. My Border Collie is an ass, but probably my favorite dog ever. I hope the breed doesn't get more popular. |

Seems like half or more of the dogs I see out and about anymore are Shitbulls.

French bulldogs must be a city dweller thing, I don't think I have ever known anyone who had one.

As much as I love German Shepherds, I must concede the lab is the most American dog.
Outdoorsman and suburban white picket fence alike. Just great solid dogs that pretty much everyone grew up with and liked. |

They didn’t have DNA testing and requirements back when the cross was made. Hard to “prove” something when a test didn’t exist at the time and no one involved would have tested anyway. Again, Occam’s Razor… |

Rottweilers are underrated as family dogs. The best dog I’ve ever had was a female Rottweiler. Smart, easy to train, loyal, and not a mean bone in her body.
RIP Maggie Mae. |

I don't care where they are on that list, Boxers & Mutts are my top 2 dog breeds.

I guess that explains it. I've definitely seen and known a bunch. I would guess regular people might get the fox breeder ones too. I knew an older lady with one. It was not used for hunting but it was a good dog |

I keep waiting for my neighbors Frenchie to fall into their in ground pool.
The thing looks like it will go straight down nose first and not come back up. They really need to get it a life jacket for walking around the yard. |

My parents had a French Bulldog and then after my mom died my dad got another one and I hate that breed with a passion that I only Reserve for pitbulls. If my dad dies before that dog does I'm going to have it put down and thrown into the casket with him
