I never liked the Yaqui slide holsters because the front sight and muzzle were relatively prone to damage, but I had just never thought much about a foreign object kicking the gun out of the holster like that. It showed me the slide styles weren’t effective when you have to move around in a dynamic environment. They’re more suited for scrutinizing a crime scene behind your aviator glasses with a toothpick in your mouth, before heading to the T-Bone Cafe for lunch. |

Answer: Because those competition shooters know more about shooting and generally have higher round counts. Tactics and shooting are two separate skillets with a bit of overlap, and most "operators" don't get enough trigger time because they have many other skill sets that are also important. |
